Alex let out a sigh as he dropped onto the couch in the now closed mess hall. This mess was just way to damaged to even consider being of use until they got to a shipyard and got into some serious repair work. Laying down on the couch, Alex propped his feet up on the other end and folded his hands over his chest as he laid down. "Computer... begin recording Personal Log."

"Please enter date for log." Came the computers reply.

Alex grimaced... he didnt know the date. It had been a while since he had last slept, the adrenaline from the mission to the cube had fueled him for a long time. "Uh... re-sequence all previous logs to a number format, started at one till now. Make this one the most recent."

"Affirmative, beginning log." Came the computer's reply followed by a soft beep that allude to the beginning of the recording.

"Well.. One of the mess halls is a complete loss. I mean people can use it to eat, but the replicators in it are shot beyond repair, and it isn't equipped with a proper kitchen, so there isnt much I can do about it." Alex said as he started off his log.

"We ended up going on a mission to the Borg cube, rescued the people that I couldnt save before when they first attacked the ship. It felt good, really good actually. I mean, I was terrified but Ezra's experience in combat helped alot, it really calmed me down." Alex continued as he let out a yawn. He could feel his eyes getting heavy, Figuring he should probably head to bed soon, Alex continued on, intent on finishing his log first. "Got a datanode from the Cube though, from the Neonatal section, so I figure it might have some good detail on assimilation that they could use to help get our people back to normal."

Looking over out the window at the planet below the ship, Alex thought about the situation a little more. "I cant wait to be done with this damned mission... We lost the Venture, almost lost the Galileo. We lost alot of good people, but we can save alot more to, we just need to get the hell out of here." Stopping again, Alex let out another yawn. "I did happen to meet an interesting woman... she didnt have a favourite food... it was mighty strange... though I intend to fix that later when I get the time." Alex continued on as he felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier, "Right.. Should finish this up... I need some sleep."

With another Yawn, Alex looked back up, staring at the ceiling. "Computer... End log." And with that, he let out a final yawn before falling asleep on the couch.
