The Dream

I keep having a dream. It's not a nightmare, per say, and it is more certainly nothing to be confused with a real memory. It is a dream that I feel always shows what I am feeling. There's a certain honesty in your subconscious that doesn't translate to you staring at yourself in the mirror. I know, peculiar at best, but just...try and listen, okay?

I am running through a burning ship. I'm running because I have to catch something. It's something that means more to me than anything else and I am running to catch it. The air burns my lungs but I do not care, I just keep running.

There's a hatch and it is bolted. I hit it and I can just glimpse someone through it. It takes me awhile to see, before the ship explodes and engulfs me in the flames, but I can just glimpse it. And it tends to be my desires, my dreams, or even once just the three course meal at the New Savoy I craved.

See, last night was weird though. I was watching the hatch and hitting it and the form turned and looked at me. Brown eyes and a playful smile. And he waves at me and blows me kisses, his features so beautiful...

And the ship explodes and I wake up. Only this time, I wake up confused. I mean, it's been awhile since it has been a person who was real who was there. A long time. So yes, that dream, the dream, always shows me something that surprises me.

I wonder if it will surprise Gabriel Stark if I tell him that according to my dream, I desire him.

End log.
