Captain's Log, Stardate 66292.9

Galileo is almost at the end of her resupply. We are only thirty minutes before departure and we've managed to complete all of our upgrades in a timely fashion. Commanders Holliday and Remington were very efficient with their work and so far we have had no delays. Unfortunately, while upgrading the deflector arrays, one of the engineering crew had an accident. Crewman Rothgra touched a live grid relay and suffered minor injuries, but they could have been much more severe if not treated immediately. Luckily, our newest assistant chief engineer, Master Warrant Officer Peers, reacted promptly and professionally to the incident, and the crewman is resting comfortable in sickbay. Nevertheless, it was a clumsy error which could have cost someone their life. I will have to have a conversation with Mister Quinn regarding operational safety protocols. In addition, there was also a moderate problem yesterday with the replicators which involved my chief operations officer. He seems to have recovered from his...affliction, however I would like Commander Holliday to investigate the issue further and find out how such a malfunction could have occurred in the first place.

Meanwhile, my science and medical teams have been busy researching Project Sienna and its personnel. The mathematical theories behind the technology appear to be sound, but we have found little in the way of unclassified, operational details. I will be relying on the science department heavily once we arrive at Starbase 152.

Lastly, I had the misfortune of attending a rather heated intel briefing. I'm not at liberty to divulge the contents of the briefing, however I can confidently say that we are heading into the unknown. The situation with the Klingon Empire appears to be growing more volatile by the day, and we no longer have the luxury of time on our side. We can only hope for the best, and prepare for the worst.

Computer, end log.
