Personal Log - 006 - The Unknown awaits

ON:


We are about to arrive at our distination for the current assignment. The planetary system is called Rojar. It has 6 planets and dozens of moons. This being a Scientific and Exploration mission, I do hope that the security concerns will be minimal. The system is situated near the former Borg claimed territory, so there remains many uncertainties.

Leading up to this point, my beloved Chief of Security has seemed to mellow somewhat. It is possible the addition or responsibility of the K-9 may have allowed the Lieutenant to think through things differently.

I stopped by Sickbay today to see Lt. Orexil. She remains in a coma, with few signs of change. The senior medical people in Starfleet apparently believe that being around familiar sounds and influence will assist in her recovery. I am not as sure. During my visit she showed no sign of change. But I think it was still worth it.

I admitted to her about the random thoughts that have been invading my conscious mind, from time to time. I am not prepared to mention them to a Counselor as yet. There are too many ramifications of this type of behavior. I can see no security risk, so I will continue to monitor these ideas and thoughts and memories that appear from time to time. I am sure I will speak to someone official about it soon.
