Chaplain's Log...
My first shore leave with the crew has come to an end, and I am face to face with the prospect of encountering my first formal mission. All that has been revealed to me is that we are going to the Eras system to provide support for the on-site research station. What that is, I do not know. It does not matter to me either way as my main focus is to the crew. Also, I doubt that there is a question of theology or mythology that requires my attention. I will be surprised if it does.
Concerning the spiritual fitness of the crew, I am pleased to report that it is in a very good state. There have been some questions here and there, but overall, I am satisfied. There have been some trainings and programs that I have taken part of and have drafted as a morale booster for the crew. In the future, my aim is to have them be somewhat "constructive" so that they both provide a mental relief and a CBT element to maintain fitness as requested by the captain.
As for the mental fitness of the ship, as I am the assistant counselor as well, those who I have been assigned to console have demonstrated a level of anticipation and eagerness that is understandable under the circumstances. It is my opinion that as we are conducting a new mission, the anticipation of the crew will steadily go down.
Only time will tell on how the mental and spiritual fitness of the crew will be maintained during the mission and after the mission. If their previous mission is any indication as to what we can expect, may God help us all.
