Hey Diary!

she bites her lip and frowns as she looks around, then leans in closer to whisper conspiratorially

Tabby says I shouldn't call you that. That it's Childish and Immature to have a diary. She says because we're Starfleet personnel now we have to stop having Childish and Immature things. Well, I say Tabby's just being bitchy and she's mad because everyone knows what Cyrus I'm A Big Jerky Piggy Jerky Pig Kiwosk did to her. She's mad at me about it!

Hey, at least I stood up for my friend. I don't know why she's so mad about that. At least other women should know what's going on and won't have to put up with his crap. But Tabby's just all upset over it and has been acting very weird. She says it's just that she was so embarassed by how he acted, but I think she's just upset because he couldn't even be bothered to apologize to her.

But of course he's just a Big Piggy Jerky Pig Jerk! anyway, someone who thinks all those muscles and that Charming Smile and Rakish Good Looks (accentuated by subtle scarring of course) just makes him look Tough and Dangerous and Oh So Yummy but it doesn't. It just makes him look stupid and Trying Too Hard. But we know about his type, don't we Diary? Oh, yeah, we know about boys like him who think women are just like tissue - used and then tossed aside. But that's okay because Tabby can move on and Chief Cyrus I'm a Big Muscle Piggish Jerkwad Womanizer Kiwosk can just go back to his quarters lonely. And there he can find out what tissue is really used for!

I've been trying to enjoy shore leave, but this ship needed lots of work done on it, so there's been a lot of work to do. And some silly things, like door malfunctions. Lt. Stone's problems are-

OH! How could I not tell you the best part! I'm going to have to let Kell down easy! Well, hopefully he'll take it better than Lieutenant Liyar did because I've met someone! Oh my is he just a gorgeous hunk of man! And so Kind and Generous! And he really knows how to Treat a Woman Like a Lady! Why earlier, when trying to fix his door, it was like wasn't even trying to make passes at me. And he's so tall! I had to go up on my very tippiest of tippytoes when we started to kiss.

Which got interrupted by Lieutenant Panne. But that's okay because while it was a Moment it wasn't the Right Moment for the First Kiss. Which he knew too because he totally didn't try to do anymore while she was there and even, regretfully I could tell, let me go with Panne while he went back to duty! I bet he would plan something so much better than just an accidental fall off a chair and into his Big Strong Hands. When he looks at me with this Big Soft Brown Eyes Like Puppy Dog Eyes, I can just stare back into them forever and it's not like other men, who are nothing but big Jerks Who Want Just One Thing because when he looks at me it's like he's focused completely on me and nothing else. Like I'm the only thing that matters at that time.

Oh, my, I'm blushing just thinking about it! I know I am. But I haven't stopped thinking about him and the way it felt to have his hands on me. Not in a bad way either! But gently, on my waist. Oh sure he was all like "Just making sure you don't fall, ma'am," but I felt the heat between us. I've been daydreaming what he'd be like...y'know...

she stops to smile to herself, placing a hand against her cheek sure she's as red as a beet

...for after the kissing? I bet it'll be just like in the stories. With the toes curling and the waves crashing. But I bet it won't happen soon. He seems like the kind that would want to meet the parents and Get to Know Me first. Of course Daddy will approve of him because he's so Polite and Kind.

Not like the other jerks that only pretended to be Good Guys Because They Wanted Something. I hope Daddy likes him because...well...if things work out...Oh, listen to me! Acting like a school girl writing his name in my notebook! Jeremy Stone. Mrs. Jeremy Stone. Tiffany Stone.

Okay, that's not the best name out there but...well...I can deal with it. But that's down the road. Oh my, I can't believe this!

she spins several times in the chair as she laughs

I always love this part! The beginning part of a really good new relationship. Everything is always exciting and new and just so shiny! I can't wait to know everything about him! And for him to know everything about me and to see what he plans for the First Big Kiss and our first Romantic Trip Away Together! It's just all so good and fun and the best!

But I should go to bed now because I got a long day tomorrow. More work and then fun for shore leave. Lieutenant Stone didn't ask to escort me anywhere tomorrow, but maybe he's just shy. I should make sure he knows that I would love to go someplace with him for shore leave. but now I should go to bed.

Maybe I'll have one of the Really Good Dreams about him. Y'know the ones I'm talking about...the ones where I wake up smiling and sweaty and feel really good afterward? Yeah, I'm gonna try to have one of those dreams.
