Captain's Log, Stardate 69414.2

"Galileo is en route to the planet Enus V located in the Enus system. Our mission is to assist an expeditionary research team stationed in a sub-aquatic research facility...but details surrounding the nature of our visit remain vague.

"Preliminary preparations are underway. While Lieutenants Serran and Nusien and Ensign Sera work on creating deep-sea personal gravity assistance devices, Lieutenants Ullswater, Carlisle and Kov are conducting personnel reviews of the facility's Starfleet and civilian manifest. Their goal is to focus on any of the complement's research specialties that might give us insight into the type of studies being performed. Our new deputy security officer, Juventus, has volunteered to conduct water and high-gravity training sessions with the rest of us during our after-watch hours; hopefully a refresher we won't need to utilize.

"For now, we wait and prepare. I've been spending more time in the gym recently - I've always found exercise to be the great equalizer between mind and body. I'm as eager as the rest to get to our destination but too much enthusiasm can blind us to the tests that await. We need to stay focused - stay disciplined and vigilant. I don't intend to stray into another timeline or dimension this time around. But who knows what lies at the bottom of the sea...
