"Well we went through an inspection and to tell the truth I am not very happy with the interaction. I would say that the temporary captain needs to learn to bend before she breaks or she breaks the crew's willingness to follow her.

That being said though I am reminded of a couple of bits of philosophy. The first one is from Earth. It is Taoist in origin and goes like this: "You cannot prevent the birds of sadness from passing over your head, but you can prevent them from making a nest in your hair."

Tarin may be a bird of sadness right now, but hopefully, I can keep her from resting in my hair.

The final bit is something I wish she would learn, and something that I have had to learn as well it comes from my world and goes like this: "A’ia ika hulai, waiho'i ika maka’u ika haele." It means dare to dance, leave shame at home. While I am not the ship's counselor, I have held that job previously and I see in her the rigidity due to looking like she is going to fail and fail in front of others. We all do fail, it is the ability to know that, admit it, and realize that it is better to admit that we might be not as good or as confident before we try to hide it all and then end up with others having less sympathy. It was something Lirha knew all too well and I miss that aspect of her command.

Computer, please close log."
