Have you ever wondered how you got somewhere? Like you're just flying a shuttle or even driving one of those combustible automobiles humans used to drive on the holodeck and just feel like you've driven but not really sure how you got there. Yes? No? Liar? Well, that's how it feels right now.

We've just arrived at Regula one. It's not bad, it's not good either, but compared to the past assignment honestly, I'd take mars penitentiary right now. Anyway, what was I saying, oh yeah! So I have no idea how we got here, literally the ship is being held together by the sheer hopes and prayers of the crew, I don't think there's a part of her that won't need some sort of repair or replacement even the crew seem pretty damaged mentally, physically or both.

I think I had it easy compared to some of them, I heard what happened on the bridge between the command staff, trill, I wouldn't want to have to make that kind of decision I'm more than happy sitting in engineering talking to the warp core. At least that way there's no one to talk back at you, making you second guess yourself. There was no right or wrong from what I heard, just a matter of opinion either way we did what we had to do to survive and I'm happy living like that.

Living? Is it really living when all we seem to do is go out there, get our arses kicked limp back and rinse and repeat what I'd give to trade up to one of those battlecruisers, bet those things pack a punch! *Chuckle* Well I mean we did pack a punch in the end, I just wonder if it was the right one.

Suppose we'll find out soon enough, and I guess I'll find out what its like to make that decision. Right or Wrong, because someone thought it was a grandiose idea to make me chief. Dont get me wrong I am over the freaking moon of Trill right now but let's be honest the survival rate of department heads in this place, they're not pretty! Maybe that's why there was no new intake of officers in engineering, nobody wanted to risk it.

Well, if I have to step up then step up I shall and don't you know it when I say Im going to be the best god damn engineering chief this ship has ever had BUT there's a time and place for that and my time and place right now is at the bar, celebrating the people that are there, but not there. May they rest easy knowing their watch is done.

Computer, end recording and save...

=^= Recording saved, Kala 15-01 =^=
