Personal Log 4

Posted on 30 Apr 2019 @ 10:33pm by Lieutenant Commander Ryan Alexander

317 words; about a 2 minute read

“Computer open log.” Ryan said to the computer as he typed away at his console on the bridge.

“Chief of Operations Log, Supplemental. Currently, we are trying to track down a runaway patient from sickbay that seems to be able to move through our force fields, almost like the Borg. The patient was recovered from an escape pod which seemed to originate from the Franconia. When the patient was recovered they appeared to have been in some sort of stasis.” Ryan said making a small uncomfortable sound as he briefly recalled his extended time spent in stasis.

“I have been having trouble tracking the patient through the internal sensors, as the patient doesn’t seem to have the same kind of life sign readings that would one would expect to see, in fact the patient is said to be silicon in nature. Even with lowering the base temperature of the ship and adding a little extra oxygen, that doesn’t seem to slow down the patient. The patient doesn’t leave behind the same energy disruption pattern that the Borg do; instead there is only a minor fluctuation in the energy stream that shows when something has passed through it. It hasn’t been overly difficult to monitor the current track of the patient, besides when the patient moves decks, or passes through Jefferies tubes. I have routed energy from none essential systems to set up more force fields in the Jefferies tubes and throughout the ship so that I can track the patient better. At the moment it seems that Lieutenant Commander Wyatt should be cornering the patient into an unoccupied area, where we are planning on springing a sort of snare for the patient. I will follow up with another supplemental log soon.” Ryan said as he saw that he would need to focus his attention more on the tasks at hand.

“Computer, end log.”
