"He is coming back around.” A distant voice said. Ryan’s head pounded though it was less than last time. “Careful, careful, don’t try to move too quickly, how are you feeling?” The voice asked. Ryan opened his eyes, his vision blurry but slowing coming into focus. “Like I got run over by a starship.” He croaked. “Good, good. Well, not good per-say, but good that you are feeling things, it means that your nerves have healed nicely. Do you remember what we spoke about last time?” The voice asked. Ryan slowly moved his head, his vision still blurry but sharpening by the moment. “You said…I was in stasis, and that I was burned badly.”

“That is correct. You were injured during the destruction of the Galileo; and yes, you and several crew members survived and were rescued, including your Commanding Officer.” The voice soothed noticing that Ryan was starting to become agitated again. “Let me introduce myself, I am Doctor Sullivan and this is my Nurse, Nurse Crane. We have been taking care of you for the last few weeks.” Sullivan explained. “How long, was I in stasis for? Can you tell me what happened?” Ryan asked, his energy draining. “We are still getting those reports and I am sure that Starfleet will send someone to debrief you once you feel up to it, but for the moment, what I can tell you is that you were in stasis for over a year, and had some complications due to the severe burns across your body and the type of stasis you were in. But, don’t worry, it looks like you are healing fine and are expected to make a full recovery.” Doctor Sullivan said with a warm smile. Ryan nodded, and sighed. “That is good to hear.” Ryan said as he closed his eyes briefly. “Doctor, I don’t mean to be rude, but I am feeling really tired...” Ryan said as he started to drift. He felt a pat on his arm. “Of course, we will talk more a little later.”
