"Computer begin recording, Lieutenant Commander Luke Wyatt, Chief Security Officer's personal log entry 4, stardate 725170.7.

Not much has occurred since my last data entry, the investigation into the previously mentioned assault involving one of my security personnel and Mr Holliday is still ongoing as well as his underlined punishments. While in an ideal situation he would have been transferred into the appropriate authorities our situation restricts is from utilising such niceties. With that said I am confident that his rehabilitation program will be one that is extremely beneficial to him and as a reminder to the rest of the crew that in-fighting will not be tolerated.

The biggest news I suppose is receiving word from Abbey. If I'm honest I hadn't expected anything at least for some time but she's doing well and is enjoying her new job, even if it means not getting into space that much. We exchanged gossip in which she felt the need to tell me about her boyfriend, I gave the usual fatherly talk but I know if anything happens she'll be scarier than an old marine.

The department is performing above Starfleet standard and I've sent for several commendations, just because we're not fighting the Borg or not defending against hostile invasions shouldn't mean people get left unnoticed, one such person is Mr Gabriel Stark. He has somewhat become an apprentice of mine and while I can't speak for him but I do enjoy our training sessions together, he reminds me of well, a younger me I suppose.

Well, Before I sign off I guess I should update myself on the inter-department relationship I and Miss Sandoval are experimenting with. Other than just to say it's going well and that we have arranged some more 'US' time soon, camping I think.

Right, that's enough for one evening.
