Captain's Log, Stardate 68595.9

Galileo has been in space for several days now and I'm pleased to report all ship systems are functioning within acceptable parameters. We've been experiencing occasional environmental failures on Deck 2, but our Operations team is working to correct the issue. We've identified several lines of code in our habitation matrix that are responsible for the outages and I anticipate the system being fully operational by the week's end.

Several last-minute personnel changes took place right before departure. Though it's sometimes to be expected in Starfleet, I'd hoped to depart spacedock with a unified crew to minimize staffing disruptions. But we cannot always have what we want. Fortunately, several replacement officers and NCOs were transferred on board to accommodate our vacancies, and we are close to our full operational crew compliment.

We have six months of unexciting travel ahead of us before we arrive at our new area of operations. I've instructed the senior officers to use this down time to enhance their departments' competency. By the time we arrive on-station, we should be functioning like a...'well-lubricated apparatus.' Or so the Humans say.

Computer, end log
