Application received and filed .

Personal log, Petty Officer 3rd Class Constantin Vansen.

I love it when you get confirmation that your application has been received. Especially when a computer says it aloud, because it sort of fills the room a bit and makes me feel less tense about it. I got sick and tired of waiting. Well, waiting with the sick and tired I suppose.

I got the list through earlier about which postings were open. Where they needed people. I became a bit of a struggle. I mean, not really. I do what I always do, I see which ship gets to be out in space for the longest.

The USS Galileo in this case. 32 months. It's a long time but I want it. I want to be out there in the darkness. 32 months is a long time where things can go wrong. I hope my skillset can be useful. I mean, I can hope.

If not, my backup is the Voyager and the Geronimo.

Of course, I have learned a few things in my life. With my medical record, I tend to have to convince people why they should take me on. So I will be stubborn and do what I can do to get on the ship. Say what I need to say. Jump through the hoops. Hey, if I get a face to face interview, I'll try to charm my way in. I just...I have started to lose my mind a little with no certain posting ahead of me.

I need this.

Computer, end personal log.
