Personal Log: Dea Mialin

So this mission had left me with a lot to think about. There hasn't been time for it all to sink in just yet. Of course that is nothing new. I just have to work through it as needed.

During Galileo's most recent mission I found myself leading a scouting mission in shuttles. That was an interesting experience. While it goes with the territory I have to wonder how useful our efforts really were in the larger scheme of things. Ok so I know that's a serious lack of sleep talking. However I saw first hand just how capable this crew is. The members of the scout team area good example of the team work this crew is capable of.

Between battles and other activities I'm looking forward to some quiet time. At this point even one decent nights sleep would be greatly welcomed. Things will look better when I'm more coherent. For now the best I can do is take things one step at a time and use the quiet off duty time to rest and relax.

Experience has taught me we may or may not get a chance for actual shore leave. Making the best of our current orders and those to come is all I can do. Learning to adapt is part or Starfleet training as is overcoming various obstacles no matter what they are.

Outside of duty I'm trying to spend more time getting to know my crew mates. There hasn't been a lot of time for that recently but I'm doing what I can as time allows. I should also take time to check in with friends and family since I know there are a few messages waiting to be answered.
