Weekly Update

Posted on 05 Nov 2023 @ 5:50pm by Lieutenant Aria Rice

Hello all!

Another month has passed and hopefully anyone who has enjoyed Halloween has taken the time to eat most of their sweets, and those who are celebrating other things this week (Bonfire Night for the UK, Diwali, Day of the Dead…the list goes on!) I hope you have a fantastic time!

The end of October also brought us another month of Personal Logs! I’d like to take a moment to highlight some of the moments:

Sera’s disappointment at seeing the size of her new quarters. Don’t worry, darling, we have all been there! In fact, I feel there is some Alice in Wonderland magic that is happening on the ship, and no one warned us about! But we’re all hoping that T’Ael gets the message and sends one back! Sweetheart, you be you and don’t let your family dictate who you do or not find interesting. It’s none of their business!

Mimi’s hopes and fears both dashed in one meeting -Tarin’s not putting them out of the airlock for getting married (yay!) but the wedding has to wait until their next assignment has been done (Boo!). Let’s hope that we all get an invite to the reception! My dear, hold onto the happiness with your claws, life is too short for regrets!

Tarin having to weigh up her own moralities versus the training she went through at the Academy. It has been a hard choice, but she has gone with her heart rather than her head, consequences be damned! Honey, trust me on this, better to be able to sleep at night than to satisfy the needs of the people who aren’t there and able to see what is going on!

And what was Rafe getting smuggled off Regula I? What information could possibly be so dangerous that you’d enlist the help of some clandestine scoundrel? And has Rafe spent time with Section 31 with just how sneaky he is? Ooh, the plot thickens! Word of advice, dear: cloak and dagger is all fine, but sometimes that dagger can stab you back.

And Ghemora had an eventful journey! Chief Gunderson sounds like a real piece of…you know, manners cost nothing. But yes, she has had an eventful trip to the Galileo! But I will start worrying if there’s any dead bodies found behind any hatch on this ship! Sweetie, don’t let how people react to you define you: you don’t need to justify your existence to anyone!

Allyndra’s currently spending her personal log time giving facts to myths! It’s one of those things we all do, the romance of the stories we grew up with are so much more fun than the reality of how we just took advantage of the world around us and damaged it. Allyndra, sweetheart, keep a hold of that ability to love something that was damaged. It’s a beautiful thing.

And Vala, should we be worried about this insight into Romulan science experiments? Manipulating time is a dangerous thing…but that you already know. Dearie, take it from me…turning your back on a part of your identity will no go well long term. Come to terms with it and learn to accept it. And I think Rh'vaurekorn is a fetching name,

And in the midst of all this, there’s insight of how Quil survived in the Other Side! Chased by monsters, she overcame her fear and got out on the right side of the universe! But this is some advice for once all of this is over: Sweetie…don’t let anyone try and define you by the worst moments of your life.

Marisa, well. I will keep this nice and spoiler free. Hold onto the ones you love!

And that is all for this week!

Anne
