Weekly Update

Posted on 31 Jan 2014 @ 10:55am by Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm

Good morning/afternoon, Galileans. I've got a few quick updates for everyone which shouldn't take too long.

We had an excellent week of writing last week and it was very fun to be able to read so many great posts coming from all of you. I hope you are all enjoying shore leave because we are actually approaching the end of the mission. My plan is to start the next episode at the beginning of March, which means there is now only one month left for shore leave. While this might seem like a lot of OOC time, it will pass very quickly and more importantly, it means that anything we want our characters to accomplish during shore leave should start being written if it hasn't already. As a sim, we generally average about two weeks to write a JP depending on the level of activity, which means there is only room for another couple sequences of posts. Please keep this in mind as we move forward during February so that you aren't caught off-guard and have to scramble to write the last of your subplot posts.

With only a month left in shore leave, MD 32 thru MD 57 are now open for writing. All shore leave days except the final three days are now open and available for posting.

Also, a final reminder for the month that personal logs and Crew's Choice Award votes are due by the end of the day today. Please take care of these obligations at your earliest convenience, if you haven't already.

Lastly and most pleasantly, I'd like to announce a new player who has joined us today. Please welcome:

SWO Alfred Rayne, Boatswain

Congratulations on your new assignment and welcome to Galileo! It's always nice to have a boatswain around to keep our enlisted crew in check and help train the crew, and I look forward to seeing some fun posts from the Operations department.

Well, that's all for now...carry on!

-Jay
