Not Alpha Nor Omega, Just Vega (Part 2)

After doing more research (instead of socializing), Jacob realized he needed and adjustment. He spent the night walking from club to club in the downtown area; especially his time at the "Gentleman's Club", and ended up not getting back to his hotel room until 0300 hours.

He got up fully rested and made his way to hotel's sauna and pool area. The area was pretty empty when he got there and so he was enjoying the quiet for quite some time until people started to come in.

The sauna was fantastic! Jacob sat in the water all the way up to his chin to allow the hot, jetting water to relax his muscles and get him ready for his last day of freedom before reporting to the Galileo. Soon however his relaxation was disturbed when a wiry, loud mouthed man was berating and trying to brow beat a young women who was apparently the man's girlfriend or ex-girlfriend. The man was insulting and yelling at the women who was clearly frightened by this drama.

As the arguing couple got closer to the sauna area; and with no one else in the place stepping up to intervene, Jacob finally had enough. From the sauna he called out to the man, "Hey you there. Knock it off! Can't you see you are causing this young lady much distress? Now just go somewhere and cool off."

The wiry man looked over and angrily replied, "Shut up you! This is none of your concern idiot! Otherwise, if you have something else to say, say it to my face!"
Jacob sighed and shook his head. He grabbed the side of the sauna and propelled himself out of the water. Both the man and the young woman's eyes got the size of saucers at the sight of the huge man, dripping wet and built like a tank, swiftly and suddenly grabbing the man by the collar and lifting him off the ground as easy as someone would lift a five pound bag of potatoes.

Jacob gave the man an intimidating and cold look. His deep voice was filled with warning, "I said SIR, I think its best you leave this young woman alone. In fact, I think its best you NEVER come around her EVER again." The man struggled against the unbelievable strength of Jacob as the fear just took over the man's whole body. "Ok! Ok! I won't! Please put me down!" The man gasped. Jacob gave the man one hard last look and tossed the man like a bean bag into the pool.

Jacob then turned to the young woman, got down on his knees so he could be eye level with her and asked, "Are you ok?" "Yes.. I.. am...," she relied, "Thank you so... I can't believe it.. thanks so much..." He gently patted her back, "I think he won't trouble you ever again." The young woman jumped into Jacob's arms and hugged him for all she was worth and kissed him on the cheek. "My name is Esmeralda." She smiled sweetly and gratefully at him. "There's a great little coffee house a couple a blocks down the way. I would like some company..." She blushed slightly. Jacob smiled, through on his shirt and put his sandals back on and replied. "I would love to, company sounds great right now." The both of them left the pool area, and the now fear filled man in the water behind and headed to the nearby coffee house.
