Mission: Episode 02 - Resupply
Location: USS Galileo: Main Medical
Timeline: MD 14 - 1648 hours

ON:

As Lt. Rhodes walked down the corridor on Deck 4, most of his concentration was on the report he read on his PADD, yet he did notice more activity in the passageways than usual. He was not sure for the increase. He had not looked over the refit agenda in a day or two.

Looking at the PADD, he saw that the identification checks have continued on all personnel coming and going from the ship, and there had been an increase. Theron felt things were going as expected.

He stopped just outside Main Medical. The door flew open before him, but it was not he that activated it, but another crewmember walking out. Theron stepped through the door carefully. It appeared rather busy in this department as well.

The need to report to Medical for his physical was not what he had wanted to do right now. He needed to review the recent install of the port phaser array. Theron had been aboard for some time now, but with all that had taken place, a physical was not in high priority.

Walking further into sickbay he looked side to side and waited to get the attention of a doctor or nurse.

Pola looked up as she heard foot steps enter the area. Smiling as she spotted the man who just entered, she raised her hand in a welcome gesture. "Theron. I didn't expect to see you down here. Is everything ok?"

"No problem." Theron replied, "I received a notification to get my physical. I suspect with my coming on board in an unusual fashion and and then getting involved here on the Galileo, it was overlooked until now."

Moving a hand to rub the back of her neck, Pola wrecked through her brain for a moment. "How on earth did I miss that...Well I guess we can also use this opportunity to follow up on your injuries from the gym. How have you been feeling?" With a smile, Pola indicated towards a biobed for Theron to take a seat.

Theron followed and sat up on the biobed then stated, "I have been feeling fine. Paperwork has been a hassel with the impending launch in a few days."

Smiling as she started to run a tricorder over Theron's body, taking note to pay attention to the areas where injuries had occurred over a week ago. "I think everyone is knee deep in the prep. How is everyone in security? Everyone recovered from the excitement of our last mission?"

Theron rocked his head side to side thinking for the best answer. "Everyone seems to be ready. They all do seem to be on edge though, the last day or so." Looking to Pola, "I think the phase is itching to get back into space."

Smiling as she started to upload the scans to the biobed monitor, Pola used the tip of her fingers to start scrolling through the images as they appeared on the monitor. "Hum...I feel the opposite in all honesty. It's nice to have your foot on the ground for abit, to wake up to real sunlight instead of the artificial stuff they subject us to onboard the ship."

"Oh, I agree with you." Theron replied hartily. "I have really enjoyed our stay on Vega." Then he hesitated a moment in thought, then added, "Well, except for the landing, I guess." then chuckled.

As she sorted through the scans, bringing up the file from when Theron had last been in sickbay, Pola was reminded of their arrival to the colony and the absolute chaos at the time. "I think the landing will be on all of our minds for quite sometime to come."

Theron nodded in agreement, then turned to look directly and changing the subject, "So, will I survive?"

"Just another few items and I should be finished up.." Pola looked up at Theron for a moment as she smiled. "You seem in quite a rush to get out of here Theron."

Theron turned away slightly rolling his eyes. "It is not you. I just know the Chief has all these expectations for me." He leaned toward Pola, "Do you realize that he is not totally sane. He has some kind of issue. I am not sure what is going on. Well, I do, but starfleet is aware of it."

As her mind moved back to the incident involving Cyrus yesterday, Pola's free hand moved to rub against the back of her neck. "I believe he has been getting on the bad side of a number of people alright. Perhaps he just needs to settle into his new position?"

"I am just fearful that getting settled does not get someone hurt in the process."

Having not met the man, Pola couldn't make a judgement call on it but yet again her mind was drawn back to Cyrus. "Is there any word on Cyrus yet? Has his position been restored?"

"No. Not as it was." Theron replied, "It appears to be a uncertain fate."

Pola let out the breath she'd been holding at this news, rubbing the back of her neck harder in concern. "Ok...well..." Smiling in a strained manner, Pola turned her attention back to the PADD beside her. "Well it looks like you're all good to go Theron."

Theron looked at the doctor and squinted saying, "You mean no viral infections, no hazardous desease that might lock me away in an Iso chamber and away from my desk for another day or so?" He then smiled and shook his head slighty and turned away. Some people could never understand his attempt at humor. He hoped that she could.

Blinking at the list she'd just been given, Pola moved a hand to rub the back of her neck. "No...everything looks perfectly fine. Your vitals are all in checks, scans are all in order. There's no foreign bodies showing up anywhere."

Well He thougth to himself, She did not get it. Theron nodded his head in understanding for a moment then said, "I guess that means back to the Trevash."

"Trevash?" Rolling the word over her tongue, Pola's forehead wrinkled slightly as she tried to figure out if it was a word she knew. "Um...You'll need to help me out here Theron."

"Oh, Sorry." Theron sounded appologetic, "On Tandar Prime, that is the place where the incarcerated are sent to pound rock into gravel."

Shaking her head, Pola had a small smile playing across her lips. "Always the opptimist Theron? I think you've still another few years left in you, for the moment anyway. Don't stand in the way of weapons fire and watch your diet and you'll out live us all."

Sliding off the biobed, the security officer gave her a wink. "I will do my best. Thank you for the check up."

Updating the PADD in her hand, Pola briefly looked up ontime to see the wink. Laughing slightly, she just shook her head. "No problem at all Theron, I just wish that all my patients were as easy as you."

"Not likely." He replied as he exited the Sickbay.
