Maenad was still staring at Kiwosk, her legs pulled into her chest and arms around her shins. Her eyes were narrowed, confused as to why he was telling her about his breakfast, and why he wanted to know why she hadn't asked. Did people normally ask about each other's breakfast where he came from? She sighed. "I don't know?" she responded. "I just picked it up over the years," she half-lied. Maenad really didn't want to get into a conversation about the self-defence training and stealth combat techniques she had to learn for her intelligence missions the previous year. Thankfully, she spotted Doctor Ni Dhuinn waving to her.
Having wandered off for a walk to try clear her head of the headache which was forming, Pola had been on her way back to the group as she noticed everyone gathered. Seeing Maenad who she had met at the lunch the other day, she gave a smile and wave to the woman, noticing she seemed a little flustered. "Maenad...it's been a few days. How are you?"
"Hello, doctor," she smiled back to her as she arrived at the edge of the blanket, pleased for the distraction from Cyrus. "I'm well, thanks. And you?" Maenad looked at Kiri for a second, feeling sorry for all the interruptions she had caused. For some reason everybody seemed to want to talk to her all at once.
Brushing her fingers across Cyrus' hand, Pola moving closer to Maenad so as she could talk to the woman easier. "I thought myself and Jonathan were the last stragglers, I'd have given you a shout and waited had I realised you were still onboard."
"Oh, well that's awfully nice of you," she replied. "But I had some things I had to finish up around the ship this morning before I came," Maenad knew that Kiri had said to show up any time; she hadn't realised that so many were show up as early as they did.
"Cyrus Kiwosk!" Tiffany said, standing up from where she'd been lounging in the sun, working on bronzing her normally pale skin because tanned skin looked so much better with her naturally red hair instead of being so pale. Plus it made her smile look brighter and better and well everything seemed better with a nice, natural healthy bronze glow. Now she was stomping mad because here she was with new friends and now came Lieutenant Panne who had written books and just being here Awed Tiffany because she Was So Very Smart and Tiffany was struck speechless trying to figure out what to say without sounding like some silly little fan girl who didn't understand Panne's books even though, really, she didn't understand Panne's Important Works but Tabby did let her see some of the Lieutenant's other stuff and that she liked alot and she couldn't believe that she was serving aboard the same ship as a famous writer!
"Here you are again being just a complete and utter pig! Lieutenant Panne is a Very Important and Smart Person who has done a lot of really neat and fascinating stuff and here you come along being all mean and thinking just because you got those big, tanned muscles that you're just So Special and Can Pick On Anybody but what you're doing is nothing but disrespect," she stomped her foot in the sand Becoming Really Angry, "and right here in front of Dr. Pola who you are being a complete pig still and don't you sit there and tell me to shut up because you had a chance to explain yourself and all you did was act like a big meanie jerk and pick on Lieutenant Panne while she's probably thinking lots of really, really, really smart things and the most smart thing you can say is "Cyrus lift big thing and put it down, watch Cyrus flex for you!" because your head is totally empty of anything Nice and Kind but full of mean venomous snakes of Jealousy and Mean and Bitter and I'm tired of you being such a PIG!" She stomped her foot again as she glared at him. "And I'm sorry Dr. Pola that he doesn't even care about your feelings while he's here being such a foul, smelling, swill rolling in pig to Lieutenant Panne! Now Kiwosk I'm tired of listening to all your excuses as to why you're such a big meanie piggie dried up salty no good tough piece of big pig JERKY and you just go away right now before I have to get really upset and Give You a Piece of My Mind!"
She looked over to Kell wondering why he wasn't already standing up and defending her and kicking sand in Kiwosk's face and putting him in a headlock and other manly things to Defend the Honor of the Ladies!
Pola blinked as she tried to keep up with half of what the woman had just said to her. Trying to pull out the important parts, she gathered that the woman thought Cyrus had in some way been disrespectful to Maenad. Looking in confusion back to Cyrus, she found herself not quite certain what to say. The picture that the woman was painting was not the man whom she knew and she'd picked up no hostilities between either party.
At first Maenad was startled by this crazy woman's shouting. As she stood there berating him, Maenad's expression turned from one of shock to embarrassment to frustration. She didn't like Kiwosk, but she didn't feel that he was bullying her just then, and she certainly didn't appreciate the way this little crazy person shot off her mouth like none of them were there - the captain herself was only a few paces away. If it weren't for her sunglasses, then maybe Kiwosk would have seen Maenad's reassuring and sympathetic glances. In the end, she buried her face in her palms against her thighs and pretended she wasn't even there, imaging Kiwosk and worst-case scenario between him and his biggest fan.
"Miss Panne, have I done anything out of the ordinary here in our conversation...have I 'bullied you' in any way?" He asked simply.
"No, Cyrus, it's quite all right," she half-smiled. Maenad looked at the red-haired woman whose fury was more embarrassing than terrifying. "Do I know you?" she asked her, taking off her sunglasses, still sitting with drawn into her chest.
"Pola, have I bothered you at all my dear?" He turned to ask his girlfriend.
Pola was starting to feel very flustered at everything which was going on. She wasn't sure where this woman had come out of, she'd spotted her at times on the beach but didn't recognise her. "No...You could never bother me." Pola stepped in closer to Cyrus' side sa an almost protective measure. Cyrus was the last man n the planet who would need protecting but it was instinctive.
He turned to Tiffany and smiled acidly. "So before I write you up for verbal harassment that I can back up with witness reports, would you like to say anything else?" He stayed relaxed and composed, though he wanted nothing more to make the ice queen eat sand. "I'm willing to let it slide because we are all enjoying ourselves here and I don't think that anyone needs to go spend their Shore Leave in the brig right?" He hinted unsubtly.
Tiffany definitely fixed Cyrus with a Frown. No, she thought, that wasn't enough, it wasn't a Frown, it was a Frown because, well, he was just so mean! And he bullied people and he hurt people and he Just Didn't Care Because He's Such a Jerk and now here he was bullying more people and trying to ruin her day on the beach and just being A Big Jerk and it was sad enough to almost make her cry and that made her not just Really Upset but Really Upset. But, no matter how much she wanted to cry right now because he was being so mean to everybody she wouldn't cry because that's what Big Mean Piggy Jerky Pigs like him wanted, to make people cry. Instead she would make him mad enough to cry. She placed her feet squarely in the sand and put her hands on her hips, rather imagining the herioc figure she cut.
"Cyrus Kiwosk! Why don't you go ask Tabby if you bothered her? You won't because you know it's true, so you just come here and ask the people that you're dating and bullying and Lt. Panne says you're fine just because she's so Very Nice and Smart and she doesn't want to be bothered with a Lowlife like you! And here you are trying to ruin such a beautiful day for everybody else because you just can't stand that someone else doesn't fall for your Secondhand Charms and thinks you're just a Big Mean Jerky Pig of a Jerky Pig! All you do is come around and ruin everyone else's fun because you're just such a miserable bully and you know that nobody who knows you likes you, not really, so you just want to be all mean and stuff! And you make me stomping mad!" here she put words to action and stomped twice.
"But you just go ahead and try to arrest me and you'll get into a whole bunch of trouble because...because...because..." here she looked around for help or inspiration and found nothing immediately forthcoming, "Because I KNOW MY RIGHTS! And you can't arrest me for telling the truth about you and if you try then you're going to be in so much trouble because I'm going to tell everybody and I'll go right up to the admiral of the Fleet and I'll tell him how much you bully people and how mean you are and how you arrested me and threw me in the brig for just telling people things! And you're so Not Smart because harassing someone isn't a crime it's a complaint and you can't arrest people for a complaint but you don't know that because you're just Mr. I Got to Have Big Muscles So People Won't See What a Crying Little Boy I Am and then maybe you'll think people will like you because they can't see past all those big, rippling tanned muscles - that I think look rotten and too big anyway - to what a big bully you are! And the only reason you have such big muscles is because you're afraid that if you're not Big and Strong and Built then people will be really mad about your bullying and they'll turn around and bully you right back and then you'll be the one on the beach crying because someone is being such a big, jerky meanie piggy JERK! to you! So you go ahead and arrest me because when I see the judge I'm going to have all my witnesses be the people that you're being so mean to and by the time I'm done with them the judge is going to know what a big JERK! you are and the judge will put you in prison for...for...well for a very long time and by the time you get out you'll just be some overbloated sad old man who wished he'd been nicer to people so that he would have had friends come visit him in prison but nobody will because you're..." here she drew in a deep breath..."SUCH A BIG MEAN PIGGY JERK OF A MEANIE POOHPOOH HEAD!! And now you have me saying Bad Words and I don't like saying Bad Words because I'm a Lady but you are such a poohpooh head that you made me say bad things and I hate you Cyrus Kiwosk, I hate you a whole bunch and I don't care who knows it or who you think will tell the judge because I'll tell the judge myself how much I hate you because you're so mean you make me cuss in front of everybody!"
Watching the woman in slight horror, Pola touched her hand against Cyrus' arm before finally finding the gumption to speak up. "Tiffany...how about me and you go for a walk? I think we need a girl to girl talk." Pola knew that she was playing with fire, one that Cyrus would be mad she interfered and two that Tiffany would blow up with her but the public display the woman was putting on was going to result in serious serious issues for the woman unless she stepped back.
"Thank you, Doctor, but I'm going to go away from this BIG JERKY PIG!" She said, sniffling as she fought to keep from crying. Why did he have to be so mean to everyone! Stomping once more, she crossed her arms against her chest and started off, waiting until she was away from the main groups before dropping into the sand and burying her face in her knees and crying. He's just so mean!
Placing her hand lightly against the woman's arm, Pola softened her voice slightly, "Come on Tiffany, just me and you and we have have some girl time alone."
Trying to wipe her eyes of tears without getting sand all over her face, she looked at Pola. "I'm sorry, Doctor, I know there's no crying in Starfleet. But he just made me so upset! He's so mean to everyone! And pretending like he's just So Great and Friendly and Nice to everyone's face while he's so mean about things! And poor Tabby was just so upset about what he did to her and he's going around pretending like he doesn't even know what I'm talking about and she was so upset we were up all night having wine and fondue and she was crying because of how much of a big piggy jerky pig jerk! he is. And now he's threatening to throw me in...in...the" sobbing "the" hitching sob "the...brig!" her lip trembling and her body shaking with sobs, "And I didn't break any laws or do anything wrong but he thinks so because he didn't want you to know that he's just a Big Mean Jerky Piggy Jerk Pig! And you're so nice and he's so mean that soon enough you're going to be just like poor Tabby, crying with girlfriends over him with wine and fondue and not able to sleep because he's just so mean that he doesn't care about anyone" sobbing "but" sobs "himself!"
Pola was starting to feel frustrated. The woman didn't seem to realise that if she continued as she was, infront of such a public audience she was running the risk of court martial. She was publicly expressing defamatory remarks against someone of higher rank. Personal issues or not, this couldn't continue. "Tiffany...walk. Now."
Still trying her best Not to Cry, Tiffany went with Pola. Even though she knew it was Going to End Badly for the doctor, because relationships with Big Piggy Jerky Pig Jerks like Mr. Aren't All My Muscles So Great and I'm Such a Frat Boy Kiwosk always ended up badly and it was always the girls that were left with the tears while big jerks like Kiwosk just laughed and went onto the next girl with a heart waiting to break.
Rubbing the centre of her forehead with her fingers, Pola watched as the woman walked away. "She's just going to keep giving you trouble isn't she..." As her sentence trailed off, she honestly wasn't certain what to do with the woman given the trouble which was certain to come her way.

Breakaway
Moving away from the main group, out of ear shot, Pola looked over at Tiffany. "Tiffany, you need to be careful about what you say about a person in a group of people who are their colleagues. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but they are also entitled to be in an environment where they don't come under attack."
"It's not an opinion!" she said, wiping at her eyes again. "It's true! And he doesn't even care that he hurts people because he doesn't even say that he's sorry for what he did to Tabby but jokes about it and makes like it's nothing but she's all upset over it and spent all night crying and he doesn't even say he's sorry and then he comes here and starts picking on everyone else because he's just a big mean bully jerky pig! And because other people are afraid of him because of his big muscles or because he's in security or because he tells everybody that he's a Marine and a trained killer and they don't say anything about the way he bullies and picks on them because they're afraid he will find out they filed a complaint and then he'll come after them and he won't just harass them but really, really, really bully them and maybe beat them up and everyone needs to know they don't have to be afraid of him because he's just a bully and they need people to be afraid of them otherwise they're nothing more than just little boys in big bodies and nothing at all to be afraid of!"
Stopping in her spot, Pola turned to look at Tiffany, taking the woman's hand in hers. "Tiffany stop. You're making assumptions about people which is going to get you into even more trouble. Take a dee breath and stop for a moment. Cyrus is not as bad a person as you are making him out to be."
"But I saw him!" she nearly wailed. It was so unfair! Just because she didn't have a Great Smile and Big Muscles and treated everyone like they were some sort of character from some stupid Frat House Holovid nobody believed her over Mr. Aren't I Just So Wonderful! "And he doesn't even say that he's sorry to the people he bullies!"
It wasn't hard to hear Tiffany even from the distance that Pola had taken her away. Tiffany had finally grated on Cyrus's last nerve, and he had enough of her utter contempt for both command and him. He took off down the beach after the two of them, arriving in short time.
Taking a deep breathe he looked at Tiffany and forced a smile. "Tell you what. I'll apologize to whoever this girl is, so we can be done with it. I don't know who you are talking about, who this even is, but if it'll get you to be quiet than I will." He sighed and before Tiffany could start her next tirade he cut her off, pulling his authority as well as his size to bear. " That being said . Do you understand exactly what you've done here with your little tirade? What would happen to you and your position if Lieutenant...Amril were to hear of what you have done." He was still getting used to the idea that a Vorta was on board, but if the crew were able to deal with him, than so was Cyrus.
"Before you start, I'll tell what you have done. You have insulted me over the span of at least an hour and a half, in front of High ranking personnel with no justifiable cause. Furthermore, you were ordered to stop, repeatedly by superior ranking officers and you didn't. That's classifed as insubordination, you can be kicked off the ship for that...did you realize that Tiffany?" He personally didn't care. "Did you know that you can be removed from Starfleet? All anyone here would have to do is file a report, have it investigated, and boom, you're done. I don't want to do that, so I'm not going to file anything, but after I apologize to this Tabby, who you are friends with. If stuff like this happens again, to either myself or anyone without justifiable means to do so. I will not hesitate to write you up." He took a step forward and looked at the little girl. "Have I made myself clear...miss." He furrowed his brow and most of what he had said had ended in a growl. This girl had been given too many chances as it was. He was giving her the last bit of his patience he allowed. If she didn't take it, that was her prerogative.
Tiffany stood up to him, showing him that she was not afraid of him despite his large frame and the biceps that could snap her head off her neck. She crossed her arms and glared at him. "Go ahead, you just try to bully me! But you'll find out that I'm not afraid of jerks like you! I've dealt with your kind before and you don't scare me! So you just back off and don't try to intimidate me!" She glared back at him. "And you should apologize to Lieutenant Panne for how for trying to bully her too! And stop bullying people!" Her foot stomped. "You're supposed to be security! You're supposed to be protecting people not bullying them!"
Cyrus chuckled at the young lady. "Lady, I'm not trying to scare you I'm telling you that what you are doing is in direct violation of Starfleet and is going to get you removed from the ship. I'm trying you bully, I'm trying to tell you that your job is at risk because of this. I've already said I would apologize to this Tabby, but only if you stop what you're doing...but for the sake of your career stop this..."
Tiffany gave Pola her patented Can You Believe This Load of Malarky before she hrumphed him and stalked off. She'd believe Mr. Aren't I Just the Greatest Thing to Hit Humanity Since Sliced Cheese was sincere about not bullying people when he learned not to try to use his Big Muscled Body to try to intimidate people or to make fun of others. "Ha!" she barked as she stalked away from them, "Some nerve he has telling me that I'm being rude to superiors when he was just picking on Lieutenant Panne!"
Back at the Beach
Kiri watched them all in vague horror, things were going badly? There was an argument? Should she do something? What could she do? Shrinking back into her blanket slightly she brought her knees up and bit hard on her lip, watching.
"Nobody's going to be arrested," Maenad interjected with a shrill and irritated cry. Still not knowing how this whining young woman knew her, but no longer caring, either, Maenad stood up and marched herself away from everyone. The beach was difficult to tolerate on its own, but between Kiwosk and that other girl it was completely unbearable. As she stormed off, forgetting all of her things behind, she unconsciously headed in the direction of a mini bar.
