Mission: Episode 15 - Emanation
Location: USS Galileo- Corridor near Mimi's quarters
Timeline: Md 140 - mid afternoon

ON:

With a smile on her face Mimi skipped down the corridor, she'd arranged to meet John just after he got off duty and she was heading to her quarters when she caught the unmistakable scent of M'rthyr nearby.

As she got closer to her room, it got stronger and stronger, until it was almost unbearable, and she turned the corner of the corridor to find the tall caitain waiting for her, leaning nonchantly against the door, arms folded. When he saw Mimi, he pushed off the door way to her room and opened his arms. "Lady Mimi!" he beamed at her. "I was hoping you would again like to dance with me?'"

Mimi looked up at M'rthyr. "Not right now M'rthyr, the only thing I would like to do is go to my quarters and have a shower."

"Why not now? You will only have to shower again once we are done?" His nostrils flared, and he looked slightly squeamish, "Ah. I see why you must scrub yourself. The scent of the man John is all over you. "

"That is none of your business." Mimi told him, it was true though, she'd nipped into engineering during her shift to arrange their after work plans and they'd shared a quick kiss or two.

"You should not see this man," M'rthyr said. "You do not like the way he smells, and he does nothing to lift you up."

"It is not up to you who I choose to involve myself with." Mimi said, stepping to the side she started to walk down the corridor.

He blocked her path with an arm, and stepped in front of her. "Maybe not," he shrugged. "But you are worth more than some hairless ape. You should be above such a grubby little man. A beta is not worth your notice. Do you really want to settle for a monkey of convenience, rather than a true match."

Mimi took a couple of steps back. "Get out of my way Petty Officer." She said in her sternest voice.

He grinned, leaning down, "That is what I mean. you think yourself only worthy of the sort of man who scuttles off at a stern word. You shouldn't be so...small. He is making you small. forget him."

"I am not small." Mimi replied baring her teeth slightly.

"You will get smaller everyday. when you have to scrub away his smell every time."

Mimi decided she wanted no part of the conversation anymore, turning around she started to walk in the opposite direction down the corridor.

"Don't walk away from me." M'rthyr grabbed her arm and spun her back to face him. "I am trying to show you that you can do better."

The moment M'rthyr span her around Mimi took a pace back, she hissed at him claws fully extended ready to strike at him.

And he growled with sheer delight. "Yes! That is what I mean. You are a predator. A lioness. Not a sheep. Now we both see it. I can see it. I can make you what you truly are. You don't need that smelly monkey anymore."

"When I first met you, you seemed nice." Mimi said keeping her claws ready just in case. "But this is far from that, calling my friend names like that will not make me feel more attracted to you. If this is how you treat other Caitians I can see why you have tried to court me, all the others have refused you."

His other arm came up, pinning her between the two muscular forearms. He leant down in her face, his breath full of musk and spice. "I don't need you to be attracted to me. I am simply trying to make the inevitable more enjoyable. For you."

With the two of them mere inches apart Mimi hissed loudly again and bared her teeth, despite her timidness she was one step away from clawing at him. She had a fair idea what the 'inevitable' meant and she wanted no part of it.

He chuckled at that, no more threatened than if a kitten mewled at him. he stood straight, letting his arms fall back to his sides. "We'll talk again, Lady Mimi. In the meantime, think about your options? Cats and Monkeys don't mix." He started to saunter off. "I will see you soon, my queen."

As M'rthyr left Mimi slumped back slightly against the bulkhead behind her, she withdrew her claws and tried to relax her body. She was glad he'd left, if it had come to blows she thought she'd definitly lose, waiting till she could no longer hear him she pulled herself together and walked the short distance left to her quarters.
