Mission: Episode 15 - Emanation
Location: USS Galileo- Sickbay
Timeline: Md102: 1630hrs

ON:

Mimi headed towards the sickbay, Lirha had ordered her to have a medical evaluation to be cleared for duty as her last was over 3 months ago and things had changed a bit since then.

As she stepped into sickbay she wondered who would see her, she had seen a few of the old crew already but so far no one she knew closely, she hoped that Allyndra or at least Tuula has been accepted to a position on the new ship.

A new ship with lots of the old crew according to the manifest and some new and all of them being requested to have medical evaluations. It seemed that Lirha wanted to make sure that for a long voyage that everyone was fit and not take a base side word for it.

She did not even look at names anymore as people filtered in and out and as the doors opened did not turn but only called out, "Next!"

Mimi's ears twitched, it was only a single word but she recognised the voice straight away. "Lumela Allyndra." She called out Det'ar Mimi."

Allyndra turned and nodded, "So you have been rounded up finally to keep things running on this ship. Good, so far half the systems are still not functioning quite as I would like and there are supplies that need to filled. So...." She patted a bed. "How about I get you checked out so that you can whip ops into shape?"

"Is it that bad?" Mimi asked as she sat up on the biobed, Lirha had said they would be leaving rather soon and if it was true that some of the ship wasn't functioning properly they wouldn't be going anywhere.

"I like things to run smoothly. Once we are away, if my understanding is correct we are going to be out for a bit." She sighed and then shook her head. "If you do not mind though I would like to give you a list of items to look into."

"Sure, send me the list and I will see what I can do." Mimi said, she hoped it was not going to be the first of many such lists. "I am glad you were able to join this new Galileo."

"Yes indeed, I think the captain wanted to make sure and I cannot help but think there was a little coyness and games in there as well. I must admit, I have not quite found out yet how the Captain Lirha got reinstated. There is a story there, but obviously it affected her loosing a flag commission."

"I am sure there is a good reason for letting her back in the big chair of a ship." Mimi shrugged her shoulders a little, if there was she didn't know it.

"Yes indeed, but still that trial did not end well for her. Some new evidence or something? Well, perhaps I might be able to get her to talk a little when I get her on the slab. Now let us get you taken care of. Lay back please."

Mimi lay back shifting her tail a little so she was more comfortable. "Hopefully we will find out."

"Indeed, now then, anything in particular I should know. Any changes in health or concerns you might have?"

"Nothing that I can think of." Mimi replied, just as she told Lirha she felt fine.

"Sounds good, we only have your previous scans from the last docking of the old Galileo. All the records from the last voyage as you know are completely lost. If everything matches then we are good."

"I have not had any more pain in my jaw since the last time you looked at it." Mimi said, it was the only thing she could think of.

"Oh that's right, it got pretty broken, well let me make a note and have a look." Allyndra puttered around for a few moments with the scan and nodded. "Looks good, though if you experience pain in the jaw joint let me know. There is a slight misalignment but nothing serious, just need to keep an eye on it."

"And I think I may have put on a little weight." Mimi said, her relationship with John had expanded her diet with all sorts of new foods, most of which still tasted fairly bland to her limited pallete.

"That is probably a good thing, you got pretty skinny back on Kreanus. Your fat to muscle ratio is spot on, or what I would call spot on compared to other felinoid types. Not much Nekomi data so I have to sort of project and guess. You must be getting some decent exercise along with eating more."

"I do a lot of exercise Allyndra" Mimi said. "I have a figure to keep up and my speed and flexibleness."

"Oh? I see, well when someone tells me they are trying to keep up their figure it is usually because they are seeing someone or am I inferring too much?"

"Maybe." Mimi replied, she wasn't quite ready to tell her about John yet even if she was a good friend.

"Maybe?" Allyndra laughed that musical laugh she had. "Very well, I will not inquire further. Well, if there is nothing else you are good to go."

Mimi sat up on the biobed "Thank you Allyndra, now if you have some time in the next week or so would you like another lesson in Nekomi?"

"I would but I may have to see how the new duty goes. Always the most busy time next to a battle for medical. Everyone requiring on board. Let me say yes for now."

"I understand, we will all be busy for the next while." As Mimi dropped off the bio bed she flexed her tail a little. "Thank you Allyndra, now I just have to see our new counsellor."

"I need to do that as well, but they give me some leeway since both busy and also still technically counseling is under my domain." She laughed. "I know not fair, but there you have it."

"Things are not always fair." Mimi said as she headed towards the door.

"Oh and if you get the chance, double check on the supply situation please."

Mimi stopped just before the door "I will have a look at it Allyndra, no not worry." With that she stepped out back into the corridor.
