Miraj had sand wedged somewhere private, but she was a sheet to the wind already and working on the second. Seeing a familiar figure approach across the sand, she started rummaging in the cold bag for another drink. "Yay, you're here!" the young half human said to the feline girl who'd walked over to join the four young women from the Galileo.

Sitting next to her, Nesh Saalm, in a microkini almost an identical green to her skin, looked over the top of her sunglasses and gestured to Tuula and Abbey, to include them in her statement. "We were all beginning to worry you'd got lost."

Abbey was sat in a short floral summer dress, which clung affectionately to her frame, she also had a butterfly clip holding her hair up in a long dark pony tail and a matching clutch bag across her lap. "Hey Mimi" she said smiling after Nesh had finished speaking. It had been a while since abbey had seen Mimi but she was glad to be spending some time with the girls of the crew over all.

"Good evening everyone." Mimi said as she approached shoes in hand walking barefoot across the warm sand, she wore a knee length jade green dress that stopped just under her armpit.

Miraj beamed at the nekomi girl. "So glad you made it. Hold this!" she thrust a large empty glass into Mimi's hand, and then another into the second. She then produced a food storage box from the cold bag and shook the contents into the glasses, filling them up with sliced pieces of strawberry, pineapple, cherries and coconut shavings. Then she produced a large green bottle and filled the space between the fruit with a sweet smelling liquid. She only took one of the glasses back. "So how have you been? It feels like forever since I've seen anyone!"

Mimi simply held the glasses as Miraj filled them, when she finished she sniffed the beverage, the fruit smell was obvious and strong but the rest she couldn't tell. "What is this Miraj?"

"Tasty!" Miraj replied, taking a long slurp of her own. "Now drink up and tell us what you've been doing for the last three weeks."

Tuula simply nodded from the chair that she was lounging in, one a lot more comfortable than the hover-chair at her side. She was a little nervous over the presence of Abbey and might not have attended had she known that she were there; given her feelings towards the mirror universe, it was maybe to be expected. And, of course, she was worried that with all she had to cover up was a small black bikini with a white skull emblazoned over her left breast, the sun might cause her to lose her pale complexion.

Abbey was well into her third drink of the night and she could already feel the effects of the Alcohol but she didn't care she was enjoying herself. "Yes drink up mimi, it really is tasty and I don't know if I can listen to Miraj moan about Luke anymore" she tinged her glass and finished the remainder of her own drink and signalled to Miraj to fill her up again.

"I am not moaning!" Miraj protested, leaning over Nesh's legs to top up Abbey's glass with more of the cocktail.

"Not in the way you want to be." Nesh said with a snarky smile, then gave an orgasmic groan, "Luke! Luke! I need you to splice my mainbrace!"

Abbey pulled the full drink back and cringed! "How does someone splice you mainbace" She sipped her drink before adding with a laugh "Actually I don't want to know!"

"Originally it was a repair to the main ropes on a sailing ship that controlled- Ow!" Miraj began explain the archaic origin of the term, a practise she was familiar with from her love of pirate novels. Nesh cut her off by poking the hybrid's bare midriff with a red painted toe.

Mimi laughed, she had heard the term but had no idea what it meant, she took a sip of the strange mixed drink, it tasted nice and fruity just as she'd expected. What she couldn't taste was the very high alcohol content.

Miraj glared at Nesh, "I wouldn't say that. I may not have done this before, but I know that much."

The Orion girl just laughed. "Darling, you don't have to know anything. As long as you don't lie there like a log, it will be fine. Men like a bit of...enthusiasm. As long as that's there, they don't give a monkey's toss."

Abbey nodded "You'd have liked the men in my universe, they knew how to treat a girl not like the ones here at your academy, though some of them know there way round a woman's body but there's nothing like a bit of hair pulling and back scratching" she Laughed before adding "The girls were pretty fun too." she winked.

"I am not well learned in relationships." Mimi said after several more sips of her drink while she worked out just what they were talking about.

Nesh rolled her eyes. "Oh hell, another one. What is it about Galileo? Its all gay men and virgins! Doesn't anyone on that boat get any sex?"

"I can not answer that question Nesh." Mimi replied.

Nesh looked to Abbey and Tuula, gesturing with her half drained glass, "What about you two?"

Abbey laughed "I've done my fair share, not on the Galileo... well atleast not this version of it anyway. And the Academy here is such a bore a girl gotta do what girls gotta do Ya know?" She raised her glass again to her mouth and drink the liquid contents inside.

"All the cute guys are either taken, Deltans, or get creeped out when I sneak into their quarters with a riding crop and a pair of handcuffs and wait for them to get off shift," replied Tuula forlornly as she raised a glass. "Pity."

"Who did you pull that on?" Nesh asked, imagining the response of the various men of Galileo, from the confused obliviousness of Mott to the stoic unimpressedness of Holiday and everything in between. Both men were long gone, but it would have been hilarious to see anyone's reaction to that. " Anyone I know?"

Mimi was confused, she listened to what Nesh asked before speaking. "What are the riding crop and handcuffs for Tuula?"

Miraj blushed simply because she'd read enough strange situations in her pirate novels to know exactly what they were for. There'd been one such situation in the Holodeck game she'd run with Amaranai on the way back to earth.

Nesh sniggered, and raised a perfect dark eyebrow at Tuula with a mischievous smile. "Yes, do tell, Dr Voutilainen? I look forward to hearing this."

"Oh please," she replied, dismissively brushing off the immature attitude of her crewmates towards a perfectly natural occurrence. "You can't tell me you don't enjoy being tied up and blindfolded like in one of those K. A. Griffin novels..."

With her companions in shocked silence for a moment, Tuula took a sip of her drink before continuing. "By the way, those novels are so unrealistic," she added in a nonchalant tone. "You really should use silk ropes for that sort of thing; nylon chafes something fierce."

Nesh let out a rich dirty laug. "Two virgins remember?" She pointed at Mimi and Miraj. "Little poppets don't know anthing. And you didn't say if any of your victims were people I know."

"I'd hardly say they were victims," countered Tuula defensively. "They wouldn't even handcuff me to a bed."

Nesh roared with laughter, "i can imagine them now, with that dear in the headlights look. But you still didn't answer the question. Anyone I know. give me all the gossip!"

"I can't believe you and Luke have done anything yet, seems like you've been dating a while? Not even when you were stranded on the planet?" Abbey asked before adding. "He is, you know a bit older than you."

Miraj sighed a heartfelt sigh. They'd been close to it so many times and always thwarted. "You mean Kreanus? He was so ill, then when we were rescued there wasn't any privacy so he wanted to wait till we got back, and go somewhere nice. But then we weren't allowed to talk to people and then I wanted to wait for my flight re-qualification, which is tomorrow, and then there's Lirha's hearing. Then we're leaving. Even if I have to hire a bunch of Nausicaans to kidnap him. And what's wrong with his age?" she asked defensively

She shrugged, "He you know a lot older than you?" Abbey replied simply hoping not t offend the pink haired woman but she had heard some of the other crewman speak about it.

"Only a bit," Miraj shrugged. Her terms of reference were a brother nine years her senior, and they'd been close, the seven extra years on top for Luke hadn't seemed much of a stretch. And what was age compared to everything else about him? She'd trade a few years age gap in return for his charm and bravery and everything else.

Mimi chuckled then hiccuped several times. "Luke does seem like a nice...." She paused, something didn't feel right.

"He is nice," Miraj stressed, then saw Mimi pause and stare at her nearly empty glass. "Here, have a top up." she opened the flask of zombie and poured it out.

"I do not think I should drink any more of this Miraj, something does not feel right." Mimi said after Miraj had refilled the glass.

"Have you eaten?" Miraj asked, putting her flask back and pulling out a box. "Have a cookie. I have double chocolate, raspberry and white chocolate, chocolate orange, coconut and almond, and pecan."

Mimi shook her head. "It is not that I ate well before I came here. There is a strange.... tingle in my hands and tail and... What else is in this drink?"

"It's a mix of pineapple and papaya juice. Lime juice, brandy..."

Mimi nodded, she recognised the first three ingredients but wasn't sure what brandy was.

"Dark rum..white rum..." Miraj ticked them off on her fingers, "Golden rum... overproof rum.."

Mimi's eyes widened a little.

"And a dash of angustura bitters." Miraj finished.

"That is a lot of rum...." Mimi remarked. "What is rum?"

Miraj giggled, her pink bunches bouncing. "Its an earth drink. Fermented sugar cane. It was used on Earth sailing ships during the golden age of pirates, and beyond. It's yummy."

"Fer...mented." Mimi repeated the word, there was a little bit of a slurr becoming evident in her voice. "You mean it is alcohol?"

Nesh rolled her eyes. "Of course its alcohol. We're off duty and in no danger of getting any duty. Time to kick back with the real thing. Quit mewling, kitty, and get with the program."
