[ON]

Jamie rounded a corner and fell on her butt with a squeak as she saw people in her mumma and dadda's uniforms on and around beds and the beeping noises and smells from when mumma was sick. *Dadda?! I found meddy fleety peoples dadda!*

*People, people or brown and wrinkled people?* Martin sent to his niece, before he changed again and sent *I think the Fleet are here!* he sent to Steph *But it is only the eyes of a year old so give me a bit first.

*No brown wrinklies dadda... Pwetty lady with blue streakies in black hairs.* JJ snuck a little closer to her.

*No Klingons.* Martin sent to Steph. He had done some reading on the transport to work out who's who. Then back to JJ *Can you see under the pretty medical ladies eyes, are there any blue marking below them.*

JJ peeked again *Blue dadda* she answered excitedly bouncing in place gripping blankie tight.

Allyndra was tired, her head hurt like the devil but there were so many worse and the list of complaints and charges were piling up. She had noted that the Romulans had seemed to be in command or at least held nominal sway over the Klingons that had attacked and brought them here. This place was a mess from what little she could see so far. The world might still be technically hanging onto a sort of Class M but it was a world that she was not sure was going to support this many beings. In some respects she could see how they had turned to a life of raiding, but in other respects they should have made overtures to the Federation who would have looked on the situation more kindly or so she would hope. There was little trust there on either side over the generations. It was not unlike her own world, still suspicious or extremely cautious over who they would call friend or not.

And with that an idea began to form in her head. She stretched trying to get the kinks out and it was then she noted movement in the shadows.

"Whoever you are, you might as well come out. An advantage to compound eyes is that they are extremely sensitive to movement."

JJ gripped blankie as she stepped out stumbling slightly in the gravity and thumb in her mouth. "What c'pound?"

Allyndra observed the child and smiled. She knelt down though she was not sure her knees would let her get back up she was that tired and cold. Akkadians did not do well in cold. Still she moved slowly and calmly and then pointed to her eyes. "See, the tiny little facets," she moved them slightly so they could catch the light. "Each one is like your single one." Allyndra was not going to go into fine medical detail.

"Like a s'idea?" JJ looked at the eyes fascinated.

"A bit, any way I am Allyndra," she kept the pronunciation simple.

"Me JJ Auntie 'Lyn'a."

Martin smiled when JJ sent him the message about blue under the eyes. He hoped Medical was close enough to hear if he shouted. "Commander Warraquim, I have an injured medical crewman back here! Not responding appropriately to simple questions!"

Allyndra heard the shout. She cocked her heard wondering how anyone else knew she was here. That small irritation of using her guild name as a surname went through but it was minor.

"Dadda! That my dadda!" JJ bounced on her feet excitedly. "He and mumma trapteded."

"Trapped?" Allyndra found herself confused by the phrase.

JJ nodded "Brown wrinlklies put me in play pen and dadda behind humming wall with mumma and owie lady. I 'scapded but they is trapteded. Couldnt reach button." JJ was working hard to tell the story.

"Miss I'm not this Jaana, but I will help in anyway I can where can I find Karhu?" Martin asked the young lady in his cell.

Tuula furrowed her brow, deep in thought as the child inside of her tried to remember where she put the stuffed bear. "I don't know... I think I left him in our bedroom when we went to the sauna. Next to your tea set."

Martin looked around he was fairly certain as hard as they looked they wouldn't find Karhu. It was only after looking for a. While that he worked out that Jaana was probably this ladies sister and she wasn't in this time or place. He hoped either Commander Warraquim heard but in case she didn't he sent JJ a message for her. *Jamie I need a doctor back here fast. Tell them there is a Doctor in shock and pain and not breathing right.* He knew that should bring a doctor running.

*Okey Dokey Dadda.* She told the doctor word for word of what he said.

She held out a hand to the child. "COMING!" she shouted back and then said, "Come along it is best not to leave you alone here."

JJ nodded and held her hand up trusting. "We find mumma and dadda?"

Allyndra headed on with the child and then came to where there was a small group of people. From the way the child acted she deduced this might be her mother and father. "Hello, sorry, I did not mean to interrupt, but are you the ones that called?"

"Mumma and Dadda yes ma'am, the actual relationship is mother-next-door and uncle, but I have a medical officer in here badly injured suspect broken rib and mentally incongruent with her surrounding. Ma'am, Lieutenant Fraiser mentally helped to treat the rib as best we could. We're both full-blood Betazoid so I don't have to ask her questions verbally. That made treating our guest, without alerting the guards, a lot easier." Martin was relieved to see fleet uniforms for once.

"I see, well let me take a look. I was once the chief medical officer...." Allyndra bit that off as she recognized the face. "Tuula?"

"Äiti?" called out Tuula upon hearing a familiar feminine voice. "Oh, äiti, you were right. I shouldn't have been climbing on the roof. I fell and hurt myself."

Allyndra just made a face and shook her head. "It's alright, everything will be alright. Just relax, let me give you a little something." She did have a hypo again, but Tuula needed to be moved to a better location.

Seeing a hypo in Allyndra's hand, Tuula squirmed away. "Not the hypo," she gasped, her childhood self afraid of hyposprays. "Where is Karhu?" she asked again, a growing concern in her voice.

Allyndra shook her head and then placed the hypo behind her back. "Alright, alright," she knew that she would still have to use it but she would Tuula a moment to calm. "We will see about fetching this person." It would best to let her calm in her current state then to try to argue otherwise. She needed to get more information about what was going on and right now getting cooperation was most important.

"We need to move her. I have been given access to what passes for an infirmary here with at least a few working biobeds and can look at her injuries better." Allyndra forgot that she had introduced herself to these people. "Forgive me, I am Allyndra, highest ranking coherent and functioning officer from the Galileo. The ship that she came from."

"Ah well ma'am that is some fine luck because Lieutenant Fraiser and I were to join that ship. I guess we won't be joining that exact ship anymore. I hear you lost some talented fix it men, I maybe able to help out in small part because I have done some minor repair classes as cross training over the years." Martin volunteered his services, anything to be out of the cell again. "I guess by the brown wrinkly dudes we ran into that the Klingons destroyed the ship and took everyone they could as hostage?"

Steph's eyes were totally focused on Jamie who was still holding Allyndra's hand. She looked up when she heard Martin finish. "I'm experienced in both medical and research ma'am, I hold dual degrees. My medical training is only enough to make me a competent GP though." Her hand came to the bars to try and touch JJ's hand. "Thank you for rescuing our daughter."

"I think she more or less found me," Allyndra replied. "I could use all the help I can get and so formally I charge you with being part of the crew." She took a deep breath and as she exhaled her shoulders drooped. "As soon as I can ensure we have a bit of patch on everyone I need to get to the powers that be. Sorry, but dead exhausted and cold."

"Yes it seems Lieutenant Frasier and I have a little escapologist on our hands. I promise she will not affect the ship in any way once one arrives for us that is ma'am!" Martin said to the doctor be for he sent JJ *Right!* "Ordinarily ma'am this would be done in your medical centre on tad ship and I would give you a PADD with my latest medical history on it but that will have to wait."

"Of course, I can use every bit of help. If I sound abrupt or harsh please forgive me it has been a long......well not sure how long and I am starving to boot." She closed her eyes a moment. "Enough of that, let's get her moved."

"Where are we going, äiti?" asked Tuula, slowly attempting to sit up from her bed in spite of the pain. "Are we going to the sauna?"

"Something like that," Allyndra said and smoothed Tuulas hair and then pressed the hypo she had been hiding. "Sorry, but you need to rest now."

"But it's not bedtime... yet..." with that, Tuula slipped back out of consciousness.

Martin scooped Tuula as she slumped into unconsciousness. "Ma'am you said you have access to a medical bay. I think mentally This young one is more broken mentally as I was when my brother James died in his and Lieutenant Frasier shuttle accident.

"I agree but that is something that takes more time to deal with than I currently have and the physical injuries will take a bigger toll. There is already infection that has set in and some of that maybe inducing some of the hallucinations." Allyndra waved a hand, "Forgive me if I sound harsh. I am tired and hungry."

"Not at all doctor you sound exactly like my father. A good efficient doctor that cares for all the patients. Both those that need the help immediately and those that can wait." Martin smiled and followed the doctor after he released to forcefield in front of Stephanie's cell and beckoned her over for a kiss.

Moving over to him and kissing him Stephanie smiled. Hugging him in relief she looked down at JJ and silently giggled seeing her daughter happily holding onto her new favorite 'Auntie's' hand and looking as grown up as a 1 year old in footsie pajamas could. "Its understandable commander... I can help with the general patients... I just can't do surgery."

"Stephanie," then he looked at Allyndra, "Lieutenant Fraiser stop running yourself down, You might be GP-trained but you are also a top research scientist." Martin said with a smile at her. "Not to mention coming back in the twelve months from an accident that killed the rest of the runabout crew!"

Stepping into the chamber, LT Jaehyun Brex regarded the tableau before her. She'd been informed that the new crew had some considerable injuries among them, and she had already helped attend to a few. She had held back, though - drawing on only the edge of her abilities until she knew she had seen the full spectrum. Coming now to this cluster, the young woman bit her lip in concern before addressing the winged female who seemed a person of worth among these. "May I be of assistance, commander?"

"Yes I will take anything I can get. I think I have this one stabiized but she needs to be under observation for a bit. You have some medical skills?"

"Yes, ma'am," Jae nodded her head. "Physiotherapy and general nursing." She bit her lip before adding, "I am also half-Deltan and am trained in drawing pain."

Still holding Allyndra's hand JJ asked curiously "Who you? You pwetty."

Her eyes tracking down to the small figure, Jae smled and crouched down before her. "Thank you, dear one. My name is Jaehyun. You can call me Jae, though - and you are very pretty, too."

JJ smiled Martin could see the glint in her eye, "Thank you, Miss" Stephanie and Martin had made sure Jamie's leaned her manners, she thought about it and giggled to herself. "You my name same." (She means that Jamie and Jae are the same but she has only have the mi as extra.)

"Well, that is good, then. You are two J's and I am one J, so people will be able to tell us apart."

Nodding JJ asked "You help owie lady too? Bad wrinklies tooked her and she come back owie. No blankie ... she lost her blankie." To JJ blankie was like mumma and dadda it made everything better so if the lady had hers it would do the same for her.

Rising back up, Jae patted her hands reflexively against her thighs as she visually took in the woman in question. For a moment she wondered at her sanity in taking stock in an infant's logic; there was a warming blanket wrapped about the patient, and others at hand. However, that was not what the child had meant. She could sense a distinct lack of comfort or serenity coming from the injured soul. "I don't know that I can fix her," she stated calmly. "But yes, I can help her."

"Good, I just need to have her under observation for a bit. She has obviously suffered some head trauma along with infection and is currently hallucinating. I just don't need her to go into a seizure and if she does have someone there to intervene with medication quickly." Allyndra shook her head and sighed, "I do so appreciate it."

Steph added "She has a broken rib that you need to be careful of her fitting with ... its close to puncturing a lung."

Jae nodded solemnly. "I will see that she remains as calm as possible." While she mightn't be as accomplished as a regular doctor, that was one guarantee that could be given for her own abilities. "Might I ask her name?"

Allyndra nodded, "Tuula."

"Tuula." It was a lovely name. "Very good. If you do not mind, I will go acquaint myself with my patient."

"Thank you, thank you, it is very much appreciated." Allyndra touched Tuula gently. "She and I have been working together for many years and I had just recommended her to become my Assistant Chief. Perhaps reminding her of that might help in some tiny respect."

JJ gave a serious look thumb in mouth as she said "Needs blankie.... blankie make evewyt'ing allwight."

"Yes Doctor JJ I know for you a cuddle and blankie fixes everything but let's let the doctors do their work and if that doesn't work you can giver her your blankie to replace the one that isn't here. Yes Dadda will get it back for you do you can sleep." Martin said as he picked JJ up. "You however it is time to rest."

"I would say that diagnosis is the best I have heard right now," Allyndra got into the conversation with the child. "I think anything of comfort would be useful."
