Location: USS Galileo - Holodeck
Timeline: MD -1, 1900

Previously . . .

Looking at the castle in front of her, Amaranai wondered just how far Miraj had gotten or if she had been killed. All she could do was enter the castle and hope that they ran into each other. Pushing the door open, she entered and immediately stepped toward the wall to avoid the trapdoor. She knew, then, that that was why Miraj must have screamed. Amaranai reached the first intersection in the hallway and looked around. There was a sentry at the end of the hallway but he seemed distracted by something else so she snuck across the hallway and kept searching for Miraj.

Amaranai turned to check the hallway and realized that she was leaving a slight blood trail. She stepped into a room and found sheets available that she ripped to cover her wounds. It would have to do until the end of the scenario. There just wasn't any time left. She just had to hope that Miraj had found the vampire king and killed him.

A sudden sound came to her from ahead. Female voices, giggling and murmuring.

[CONTINUED]

The sound was definitely not something that she would have expected given the tense situation so she carefully made her way down the hallway. As she walked, she noticed that up ahead the hallway opened up to a larger room. From what Amaranai could tell, the voices were coming from there. She slowly made her way forward and stopped short of the opening to look around.

The room was huge, with tall vaulted ceilings, lined with mirrors. beneath the center of the arch was a bed that must be at least three meters square. Three pale women were on the bed. the first was kissing a second, deeply, determinedly, as if she was trying pull her partner into herself. The second was massaging the first's naked breast while the first was rubbing her fingers gently between the seconds legs, and moaning because the third was kneeling between her legs, tongue lapping delicately at the junction of her thighs.

Amaranai was taken aback by what she saw. Not that it bothered her - it turned her on - but something wasn't right. She needed to find Miraj and she needed to kill the vampire king to end the scenario.

"Amaranai." The voice came from all around them, and not one broke from their actions to speak. "Come play with us."

The voice was soothing and calm and it tugged at Amaranai. She stepped closer but stopped again. She did want to join. The women were beautiful, stunning, really. But she knew that she needed to do something. The image was mesmerizing and Amaranai moved closer again. She heard another noise behind her and turned.

One of the women from the bed, the second, naked save for her jewelry blocked the door. "Come be with us. We will show you pleasures you can only imagine." she stroked the back of her soft smooth hand down Amaranai's cheek, dropping to her collarbone and moving to cup her breast. "pleasures that can be eternal."

A tingle went down Amaranai's spine when the woman touched her cheek and the tingle went to her stomach and lower when her breast was cupped. The distraction was working. No matter how much Amaranai wanted to find Miraj and get this adventure over with, she was tempted by the naked woman in front of her and the other naked women on the bed.

Five minutes wouldn't be so bad. A quickie, right? Miraj could handle herself.

Amaranai allowed her hand to be taken and she was led toward the bed and the pleasures that awaited her. She felt the women attempting to unbind the corset, which was extremely tight and difficult to undo. Perhaps that was a good thing. Their hands touching her felt good - it had been a while since she had felt the touch of a man or woman, so anything was better than nothing and three women just made it three times as exciting.

But there was still that voice in her head to find Miraj.

Multiple hands pulled at her clothing, trying to unpick clasps and knots whilst running soft enticing touches over her body through her clothes, razor sharp finger nails splitting the fabric at her throat and thighs, and then she could feel soft fingers stroking her flesh. relax, urged a voice, You need this. You deserve this. Let us serve you..

They were right. She did deserve this. She had just left a ship where things got really bad. And she hadn't been with anyone in quite some time. This was her time.

But what about Miraj?

The soft voice in her head was drowned out by a low moan exiting her mouth as one of the naked woman's tongue's tasted her skin. She squirmed as fingers roamed her body and caused goosebumps to form. There was no more thought as Amaranai leaned toward the closest woman and began to kiss her lips and then down her neck. She could feel one of the others spreading her legs and kissing the inside of her thighs. As Amaranai was feeling pleasured, there was a thud and a scream.

The silvered end of a stake burst out of the body, of the vampire kneeling over Amarani barely a foot above the woman's face, and blood spurted everywhere. The stake was pulled back and the first of the three women dropped to the bed, eyes glassy and staring.

The surprise attack was all Miraj got. The other two sprang away from Amarani, rounding on the pink haired girl, coming up into crouches, claws and fangs bared. Miraj's face fell. "Oh, crap."

Each vampire swung claws at Miraj trying to dodge the weapon of the other girl. One of the vampires swung high while the other swung low in an attempt to confuse Miraj and her ability to defend against the attack. One vampire managed to swipe close to Miraj's face but missed by inches.

"Two on one is not fair!" Miraj hissed as she scrambled back from the clawing women, taking everything she had to dodge out of the way. There was a mad scramble, Miraj flailed like uncoordinated puppy fighting a particularly angry kitten, and the program accommodated her lack of skill, managing to stab another close enough to the heart to count as a kill shot. The last she managed to stake more by luck than judgement, tripping the vampire as she tried to move and the vampire fell onto the outheld stake, impaling itself.

Amaranai caught her breath and realized she was still nude and pulled herself up and then started to quietly dress. After a few minutes she looked at Miraj.

"Thanks," she said. "I . . . uh . . ." she paused, unsure of what to say. "Well, let's just say that I wish you had waited about two more minutes." She chuckled slightly. "That would have been just right."

Miraj wiped more slime off her coat. "Sorry. She was about to eat you."

"I know," Amaranai said, still catching her breath and finishing outfitting herself. "I wanted her to. That's why I needed two more minutes."

She flashed a grin at the other girl and pulled her handguns out and made sure they were loaded.

Miraj looked a bit guilty. "Oh. Sorry. I meant the other sort of eat. It never occured to me you might want to enjoy it a bit longer."

Another grin, but she decided against continuing the conversation.

"We're probably close to the head vampire, so we need to be careful."

Miraj nodded. "What's he like?" she fumbled more bullets into the gun with slime coated fingers. Shiver me timbers, I'm going to need a long shower after this, she thought.

"The easiest way to answer that is to tell you he's bigger and stronger than the others that we've seen."

She paused.

"And definitely not as sexy," she added.

"Probably just as well. If it went anything like how your last encounter did, then we're going to last not very long at all."

She snorted and though she could admit that it could happen if the vampire was really distracting, Amaranai didn't say anything. With a final deep breath, Amaranai started to move toward the hallway she had originally been headed to before her "distraction".

Miraj followed behind her, sharpening the end of her stake. "Be very quiet," she stage whispered. "We're hunting Wampire!"

Amaranai looked at the girl a moment, rolled her eyes and shook her head. It was an odd statement, but she supposed it was true.

The pair walked in silence for almost ten more minutes with nothing attempting to stop them. Amaranai was worried because nothing was attacking them but she didn't want to voice her concerns. A few minutes later, they reached a large oak door.

"I guess we're here," she said as she looked at Miraj. "Care to knock?"

"A line like that, a door like that. It requires a really big gun." Miraj said, a little rueful that she hadn't managed to bring a canon. a nice thirty six pounder really would do the trick. take the doors off. And most of the wall too. She put her hand on the doors, and shoved with everything she had, expecting resistance

The doors swung open as easily as the batwings on an oldwest saloon and sent Miraj sprawling forward to land on her face.

Amaranai couldn't help but giggle as Miraj landed on the floor. As she chuckled, she heard an echo of a hearty laugh. Looking into the room as she reached down to help Miraj stand.

"So, you live," the voice said. "My distractions were apparently not enough."

Amaranai moved into the room further and saw the vampire leader sitting in a throne with several vampires at his side.

"Time to die," Amaranai said.

"Wait!"

Amaranai had yet to take a step and stopped when the leader spoke.

"Six against two," he continued. "Hardly fair."

"You're right," Amaranai said. "Care to surrender?"

Another low chuckle. He turns to the man on his right.

"I want them alive," he says, loud enough. "But hurting."

Miraj looked at Amarani, a sly smile on her face. She drew her pistol. "Are you bored yet?"

Amaranai drew her own pistol and grinned. "Not yet."

Miraj opened fire, napping wildly at the creatures speeding towards them. If physics had been set to 'real life' she wouldn't have hit any oft hem, but inside the game, each bullet hit home, and the oncoming waved slowed.

But didn't stop

More vampires appeared from the shadows as Amaranai and Miraj gunned their brethren down. She really hoped they didn't run out of bullets before they ran out of targets.

As if fate had heard her, both handguns clicked with an empty chamber. Rather than waste precious time reloading, Amaranai pulled the katana from its scabbard and continued to battle the enemy.

Miraj threw her empty gun at the nearest vampire, and he paused to dodge, giving her long enough to pull her stake out again, and drive it into his chest. The she was surrounded by vampires and stabbing for all her might. She held out a handful of heart beats before one of them grabbed her from behind and she couldn't shake him loose. He wrapped her hair around his fist and dragged her head to the side, exposing her throat.

She thrashed, and kicked him in the fork. Undead or not, he didn't like it, dropping her and she staked him in the leg. It didn't do more than make him limp.

"Help!"

She shouted to Amarani

Amaranai was close to being overrun by vampires when she heard her friend's shout for help.

She took another vampire down and turned quickly to see what was happening. Miraj had managed to get a vampire down on the ground, but he had not vanished yet. Amaranai rushed to Miraj's side and sliced the vampire across the neck, causing it to disappear.

Amaranai turned around to see if any more resistance was coming after them. It was just the vampire leader, still seated, and smiling at the two young women. Amaranai moved closer.

"It's over," she said. "We won."

"Am I dead?" he asked without moving. "It's not over until I'm dead."

Amaranai pulled a knife from her belt and thrust it toward the vampire. He moved quickly to avoid it and rushed Amaranai. Even though she anticipated the move, she was still pushed off her feet and onto the ground, with the leader on top of her as he tried to attack her. If this had been a different situation, she might have enjoyed it. Looking at Miraj, Amaranai had to hope the other girl would be able to attack.

Three more vampires exited from the shadows and rushed toward Miraj in an attempt to keep her from saving Amaranai.

the young hybrid ignored them, and lunged for the vampire leader. The first of the mions tried to grab her but she slipped out of her coat and kept moving, leaving him holding nothing but leather. She jumped on the vampire, and stabbed down.

But she was too high, the stake passing through his soft back and coming out just below his collar bone. She tried to tear the stake back out, but it was stuck

As Amaranai watched the vampires attempt to stop Miraj, she used the distraction to take one out with a slice through the heart and then across his neck. His corpse fell to the ground. She rounded on the other two and kicked at one to push him back and give her a one on one fight with the other. He lunged and though Amaranai was able to move, she slipped and the vampire quickened his own pace to take advantage.

As the girl fell to the floor, she pulled her sword in front of her and swung in a vain attempt to clear the vampire from her space. He didn't move and though he fell onto the sword, he managed to swipe his hand across Amaranai's face causing several claw marks and blood to trickle. She screamed from the pain but lifted the vampire off her, pulled her sword and decapitated the form before he could move again. This left the one vampire and the leader. Amaranai looked to Miraj to check on her. Instead of fighting the lone vampire, she moved closer to the leader to help Miraj.

Tha vampire leader was in pain from the stake to his back and roared, more in anger than pain. He lurched backward to toss Miraj off in the direction of Amaranai, causing her to stop and help the girl up.

There was a low chuckle again from the old vampire as he turned to face them again. He smiled and without a word, he lunged at Amaranai, who was not prepared for him, forcing her katana from her hand. He punched her quickly in the gut and slapped her across her face, causing more blood to spill from her wounds.

Miraj lokoed around. The vampire was all too determined to gut Amarani. But she was weaponless. Then she had a thought. The castles arched windows were covered, but only in thick drapes. how long had they been here? long enough for night to have passed. She sprinted for the nearest window.

The vampire on top of Amaranai was trying to get his hands around her neck. She was doing everything in her power to prevent that. The vampire was strong, of course, being an old vampire, but Amaranai had strength as well. She got a few punches into the gut of the demon to keep him off balance. Amaranai wished she could get another knife or stake or something but her weapons were out of ammo and her sword was too far away.

She looked around, hoping to see Miraj, but didn't see her. What she did see was a fist hitting her square in the face and stars in front of her eyes. She kicked wildly and managed to move the vampire off so he was no longer on top of her. Sitting up, she looked again for Miraj but wasn't able to see her, this time because her eye was beginning to swell.

The vampire chuckled once more and picked up the sword where it had been deposited and prepared to strike Amaranai.

Miraj reached the window, skidded to a halt in front of it and tugged at the drapes. They didn't give. she said something rude and leapt up, swinging her whole weight off the curtain. It came away, collapsing down on top of her, but bathing the hall in the unforgiving light of dawn.

The lesser vampires incinerated instantly at the touch of light. The elder vampire was too strong to be instantly consumed, but his body burst into flame, like a candle with a gruesome person shaped wick.

As Amaranai waited for the vampire to attack, she took heavy breaths. Breathing hurt, but she was prepared for this. She knew the holodeck wouldn't allow her to die, but she was definitely feeling the pain as if she were. Suddenly light burst into the room. She turned to see that Miraj had managed to pull the drapes from the window. She smiled as the leader burst into flames and it was her chance. She rushed and kicked the vampire, forcing the sword from his grip. He fell and she grabbed the sword once again. She looked over to her friend.

"Care to do the honors?" she asked. "Or would you like to do it together?"

Miraj clawed her way out of the drapes, and rushed to Amarani's smile. She placed her hands on the handle of the sword just under the security officer's. "One, Two, three, push!"

Together they slid the blade into the chest of the burning vampire, straight through the heart. The flames consumed it further and both women let go of the sword.

Amaranai slumped to the floor and watched the corpse as it burned and decayed. She looked to Miraj.

"Good thinking," she said between breaths. "In all my times on this adventure I relied on skill and strength. And you beat him without either of those. Thanks."

Miraj shrugged. "just lucky. You said vampires so i looked them up, and found a bunch of old films that survived world war three, and they're always doing that stuff. It just made sense."

Amaranai nodded and walked to the throne on the dais. She sat down and looked at Miraj.

"Well," she started. "That was pretty fun. Thanks for coming with me."

The young hybrid looked around the hall littered with stains and smelling of burnt fat. "Very fun." She agreed, and stuffing her hands in the pockets of her leather coat with somewhat childish glee. "I liked it."

She smiled and took a deep breath.

"Computer, end program."

The holographic images disappeared, leaving the two women in an empty room.

"Would you like to grab a late dinner?"

"I could murder a bite." Mira paused, and gave Amaranai a silly look "though technically i just did."

Amaranai chuckled as she moved toward the exit, no concern of cleaning up or changing, and headed to the mess hall with Miraj.
