Mission: Episode 12 - Recluse
Location: USS Galileo, Eelim's Quarters 04-2624 JO
Timeline: MD 01 1500 hours

ON:

Eelim's shift had been long. He was looking forward to coming home, taking a shower, and a nap and then seeing Allyndra. He was glad he had the quarters to himself for a few hours. Marika, his roommate wasn't there and she'd probably be there when he got up and then the quarters were all hers for the night. He smiled as he thought of Allyndra.

He entered his code to got inside and as soon as he entered he froze. He noted black rose petals on the floor surrounded by little tea lights and candles were scattered everywhere. He was confused for a moment. "Allyndra...?" He whispered. He remembered her saying that the women pursued the men.

Hearing Eelim enter, Tuula took a deep breath, put on a relaxed yet suggestive expression, and pushed herself into the main room, towards the perplexed looking Cardassian.

Ever since the time in the sauna together, she couldn't get Eelim out of her mind. He was not like any other Cardassian she had met. Intelligent, handsome, and possessing a lonely, tortured soul. One not unlike hers.

She gave him a seductive smile and began reciting the poem she had written.

As rose petals fall upon the satin sheets, they blanket us, my love, as our bodies meet. I come to and ask that you hold me tight, through the dark and stormy night. I call to you oh Son of Cardassia to love me and allow me to love you as well,

Before reciting the last line, she tossed off the white robe that she was wearing. Underneath, the leather harness and bits of fishnet she was wearing left little of her heavily tattooed body to the imagination. With a gloved hand, she reached into her messenger bag and pulled out a strip of leather with a ball in the middle, one whose straps matched her cuffs and collar. Pulling the gag taut between her hands, she flashed Eelim a mischevious smile.

let our bodies ring as the Cardassian lover's bell.

Eelim let out a yelp and backed up hitting the wall. "Tu...Tuula...what are you doing here?" He looked...horrified. His mind went right to Allyndra. "You know Allyndra and I are together! This ...why are you here?" He hated that he sounded so harsh but...

In all her excitement, the mention of Allyndra didn't even register with Tuula. "Oh, am I not supposed to be here?" she asked coyly. "You better tie me up and punish me then... just like in those novels you like..."

Eelim turned green. "Tuula....this isn't going to happen. I see you as a sister...I ...I don't like you that way." He tried to be nice as he took a step back.

"Oh," replied Tuula, raising an eyebrow as she approached further. She thought the sister thing was a little odd, but perhaps it was some sort of cultural difference she wasn't familiar with. "You're into role-playing as well..."

With that, she launched herself forward, catching Eelim off guard. As the chair made contact with his legs, he stumbled and fell forward towards Tuula, who took advantage of the opportunity to wrap her arms around him and press her lips against his.

Eelim yelped as her chair hit his legs. He was still a bit slow from his injuries...his gut stung. He kept his lips still and pushed away from her as if he'd been burned. "TUULA! Please stop!" He backed well away from her putting the sofa between them. He'd managed to snag the robe and threw it to her. "Put this on. I am in love with Allyndra!" He yelled. "This cannot happen!" If she didn't back down he'd all security.... "Tuula stop!" he tried louder. "Just stay there."

Tuula continued to approach. "You'll have to use the safeword," she said, her voice starting to quiver as her heart sank. Was it possible that she could have been all wrong about this? That her grand romantic gesture was all for nought? First Olsam, and now Eelim had rejected her. She was beginning to feel like she would be lonely forever.

"You... I..." Realizing that Eelim didn't feel the same way about her, Tuula held her head in her hands and started blubbering uncontrollably.

Eelim felt bad. "Oh Tuula." He took the robe from her hands and draped it over her as he knelt by the chair. "Tuula don't cry... Listen I really see you as a sister. You are a great lady Tuula but... I'm...I'm in love with Allyndra."

Tuula knew Eelim was trying to make her feel better, but it didn't make the news any less devastating. In fact, one could say it even made it worse.

For Tuula, the sad truth was that due to her injury, almost no one saw her as a sexual being. A friend, a colleague, maybe even a sister, but never as a full human being who can, and every so often likes to, have sex. Which meant that no matter what she did to get attention, she was almost always denied the chance at a romantic connectin.

"This always happens..." she managed to utter between her tears. "Every time... I try to make a big romantic gesture and it blows up in my face..." She sighed deeply. "It's the chair, isn't it?"

Eelim shook his head. He'd walked over and grabbed some tissue bringing it back. He knelt down by her side and wiped her eyes. "Tulip it's not the chair. I promise you that. I think that you are a smart, funny, loving, woman who deserves to be loved. My heart is with Allyndra that's all. Now I tell you something I feel honoured by your offer and the gesture but I'm not the kind of guy to cheat on the woman I love. I see you as my friend and when I examined how I feel about you closer I saw that you are like a little sister to me but I know that there is a man out there for you."

Sniffling, Tuula wiped her tears away with the tissues Eelim had brought her. "I want to believe that..." she managed to utter. She really did. But so many people out there saw her as just too different. That, or just plain creepy. She held her head in her hands for a moment longer, finding it difficult to find the strength to look up.

Finally, she managed to look into Eelim's eyes. "Allyndra is very lucky. She deserves someone like you..."

He smiled. "I'm the lucky one." He sighed his abdomen was killing him. When he went down as the chair hit him he must have hurt himself more then he thought. "Listen Tulip It's not about wanting to believe that it is about it being true. I know how hard you've had it and how lonely you are. Love tends to find us when we least expect it. I really believe that there I someone out there for everyone. Can I tell you a quick story?"

"Okay..." replied Tuula, not sure how a story would make her feel better.

He smiled. "Okay... well you think this is all about the chair but it's not. I had a friend while I was with the Romulans and he was injured could not walk and lost the use of his hand. He thought the same as you but you know what he's happily married now with five kids! Tuula because you are in the chair does not take away from the fact that you are a beautiful woman who is as whole and complete as any other woman. I know that there is someone out there who will love you. Please don't ever think that you will not find someone. You will. He'll love your mind, body, soul and everything about you."

Tuula smiled and wiped the tears from her eyes, before reaching over and giving Eelim a big hug. As she did so, the robe fell off of her body, once more revealing the bondage-inspired bits of leather she was wearing. Fortunately, she tended to not be too self-conscious about her body. "Thank you," she whispered in his ear before sneaking a kiss on Eelim's cheek. "Ummmmmm... tell Allyndra I said hi?"

Eelim smiled. "I'm always going to be your friend and a big brother if you'll have me. No thanks necessary, Tulip. Now then. I will have to tell Allyndra what happened, I don't hide anything from her but, that being said this won't have any negative effects on you. I'll make sure." He smiled. "Now how about I make you some tea. Lavender Mint always works best. It's soothing." Meanwhile he'd clean up the petals and candles.

"Sure," said Tuula, accepting the offer about the tea, though she was a little concerned. "Are you sure you have to tell her?" she asked. "I don't want things to be awkward at work..." she added, pausing for a moment as a glint of metal on the floor caught her eye. "Are those my handcuffs or yours?"

He laughed. "Yours. I do have to tell her if she found out somehow later then it wouldn't be good but I will make sure she understands okay?" He headed to the replicator and got some tea for her. "Lavender mint." He handed her the tea. He wanted to make sure she was okay.

Tuula finished putting her handcuffs in her bag before grabbing the tea, taking a sip, and placing it on the coffee table next to her. "She might not find out. I can be discreet, you know," she said in a coy tone, as she fidgeted with a short chain that was attached to her collar. "I'll just pretend that you had the Tarkalean flu and this was a house call if anyone sees me leave."

He smiled. "It'll be okay Tuula. I will make sure things go okay. She won't come back on you. But she has the right to know. When you love someone, truly love them, you tell them the truth in all."

Knowing that he was right, Tuula resigned herself to some embarrassment in the office the next day and took a long sip of her tea. "So... tell me you were at least tempted," she added, still fidgeting with her chain.

He smiled. "Not this time but only because of Allyndra but there was a time when I was very tempted." He said truthfully.

Tuula smiled and took a long sip of her tea. "Well, at least I still have some charms..."

He smiled. When she'd finished her tea he walked her out and limped towards Allyndra's quarters. The pain in his abdomen was getting worse.
