Location: USS Galileo, Main Engineering
Timeline: MD6, 1900 hours

ON:

The door opened and in walked Anthony Duval, he frowned as he cast his gaze around the engine room, ignoring the mess that seemed to be everywhere as it was something he he had become accustomed to.

Duval picked his way as he went over to Rhen. "Never gets old does it?" he inquired. "I almost.... feeling like singing... Got new orders for me?"

"Orders?" Rheneas turned his head and sized the newcomer up. "Uhm...I suppose you could help me with clearing out this area," he suggested, while taking note of the new engineer's rank, "unless it is you who has orders for me Chief warrant."

Anthony chuckled. "I tend not to be big on formality. I prefer answering to my first name... addressing me as Sir tends not to go well... makes me feel old and or important and.... I am neither." he responded with a cheerful smile. "I'm Anthony Duval. I transferred over when we were with the battlegroup and I tend to fade into the woodwork so to speak."

"I didn't call you sir," Rheneas pointed out with a grin, "that's for the commissioned folk. "Rheneas Malachy, and kind of the same with the transfer story. Though if I'm not needed here, I hide away in one of the science labs. What's your specialty? Me...I just fix whatever I'm given so long as it's small stuff. I don't touch the warp core, if you know what I mean."

Duval raised an eyebrow. "True... but I'm just explaining myself and what I prefer from the guys and gals I work with." he cast his gaze around Engineering. "Yeah.. lets clean this mess up... " as he reached down and picked up a piece of equipment. "Y'Know.. I think they replicated as much junk as possible just to make a mess.."

Rheneas smirked back at him. "To keep the footfolk busy and out of the way?" His smirk widened into a grin. "Likely..." He reached for a tool himself and shrugged. "Maybe we should just get a trash can and a broom and sweep it all up and get those of higher rank to sort out what they need and what not?"

Duval merely shrugged his shoulders. "Why not... not like we can really do much else with this pile.... of scrap parts."

"We could use it to build our own fortress?" Wiping his hands on his pants, Rheneas got to his feet and walked over to a supply cabinet, then came back seconds later, carrying a container and two old fashioned brooms. "Unless you want us to weld us a castle from the scraps? Could be fun?"

Duval accepted one of the two brooms as he smiled. "Sure we could... but where would we put it...?" he inquired. "and what would we call it?, Fort Galileo?" he paused as he started to sweep the floor. "Short list that one."

"Fort de Genie?" Rheneas suggested as he started to sweep the debris towards Duval, "Galileo Stockade? There's still so many options, we just got to find the right one." He grinned and snapped his fingers. "But eventually, the right one will come to us. Right?"

Duval hefted a shovel that he had replicated earlier as he began shoveling garbage into one of the refuse bins nearby. "Yeah. We'll think of something." a sigh escaped his lips. "I don't know about you.... but I need a vacation.."
