Mission: Episode 08 - NIMBUS
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 3, Sickbay
Timeline: MD01 - 1430 hours

Leaning her shoulder against the entrance to sickbay, Rebecca studied the woman who's head was currently buried in a press full of supplies. Just watching the woman brought back some pleasent memories of the last time the two of them had been alone in the same area.

"So this is where you've been hiding yourself way?" Rebecca still stayed where she was but shifted her body so as now her back was pressed against inner bulkhead of sickbay, allowing the doors to close shut.

Tuula froze, hearing that voice again. After their last encounter, Rebecca was the last person she wanted to see. "Rebecca," she called out as she turned towards her, while checking to see if there was anyone within earshot. "Look, about the other day... it's obviously a huge violation of all kinds of regulations and ethical practices for a doctor and a patient to have that sort of relationship. Especially right there in sickbay. I would appreciate it if we both left that in the past, okay?"

Rebecca blinked at the bluntness of the woman's statement cut through the air like a knife through a sponge cake. It's not that Rebecca was a soft sort to be hurt easily, it was more so that it was so unexpected.

Tilting her head to one side, her lips pouted a little as she started to move closer to the other woman, "But I had my dress picked out for the wedding and all! It was going to be such an amazing day with us both as blushing brides in our Virgin white dresses. We had such a...a...a connection!"

Looking up at Rebecca, Tuula was fooled by her performance but only for a moment. "It's... good to see that we're on the same page," she replied, offering Rebecca a hint of a smile. "You know, I'm not really into girls," she added. "I don't know what came over me the other day, but that was... definitely something."

As she came up to the woman's side, Rebecca boosted herself up so as she was seated on the edge of a bio bed with her legs crossed at the ankles and her hands either side of her. "Well I'm no psych Doc but my guess is that you'd a lot of pent up frustration and sexual needs and when opportunity presented itself at your door you jumped in without thinking. I just happened to be the lucky gal to catch you when you fell."

"Guilty as charged," replied Tuula, before flashing Rebecca a nervous smile. "So, are you going to this Klingon reception tonight?"

Rebecca couldn't help but grin wider as she saw the nervous smile. There was something about Tuula that ignited a spark in the yeoman at times. "Feel free to jump me anytime you feel the need for a release in the future. Your a fun girl and despite those reservations you aren't afraid to give a little and take a little...so to speak."

"Heh, thanks... I'll... er, keep that in mind," replied Tuula, blushing profusely. An awkward silence filled the room for a moment before it was interrupted by Rebecca.

"Klingons dinner...Ive heard reports of it alright but can't say I've been offered an invite. Genuinely though I'd be happy to give it a miss in order to just have some downtime." Rebecca tilted her head a little to the side as she studies the Doctor carefully. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh, it's just..." Tuula paused for a moment, thinking of how best to put this. "Olsam is going to be there, and I'm thinking of making my move. I've got an appointment for a makeover in a couple hours, and I want to really get his attention, if you know what I mean..."

Rebecca said nothing for a minute as she allowed the momentary shock to settle in. Tuula made over...it went beyond how the yeoman viewed the woman...the outcome was sure to be interesting. "Well it sounds like you've a plan in place to get his attention. What's your plan once you have it?"

"I..." Tuula paused for a moment, a shocked look on her face. "I guess I didn't get that far in my plan yet," she replied nervously. "I mean, I guess I was going to try to bring him back to my place. But I'm not some harlot who just wants to use him for casual sex and treat him as nothing more than a notch in my bedpost. He's much more than that; he's smart, funny, gentle... I want to be with him. I want a relationship. Going to romantic restaurants, getting to know each other, sitting by the fire reading medical journals to each other, getting matching tattoos... the whole romantic experience."

At this point Rebecca was inclined to scratch her head in confusion. They were both discussing the same Bolian here weren't they...."Ok...." She paused as she tried to figure out how precisely she would approach this as she had a feeling that as lovely as the Doctor was, she may have had her head in the clouds. "Aside from food, which the whole ship knows is his favourite hobby, what else do you know about what he likes to do or how he likes to spend his time?"

"I know he likes to keep up on the latest in medical research," replied Tuula, "and he's as serious about medicine as I am. He loves to chat, and is a master at the delicate art of conversation. And..." Tuula tried to lower her voice, but she could barely contain her excitement. "I heard he's even into performing theatre!"

Preforming theatre... Rebecca couldn't help but think that a hard drink wouldn't go amiss right now. "So I'm guessing performing theatre is something you are also interested in? Which would mean that you have a common interest for a topic of conversation..."

Pushing her hands slightly behind her, Rebecca leaned her weight back as she looked the woman over from head to toe and tried to figure out what such an innocent, good looking young girl could have such a heavy crush on an alien who was such a brute. "So you've managed to get his attention and now you intend on having him back to your quarters for dinner and you've a vague idea of the dinner conversation...Then what? Will you tell him how you feel and what you want?"

"I guess..." said Tuula, deep in thought, her eyes a little glazed over as she looked up at Rebecca. "I mean, that's the idea, right? I'm just... a little nervous about actually going through with it. What if my feelings are unreciprocated? What if he doesn't want me? This could really affect our professional relationship, and it's not like there are a ton of doctors on board."

Tuula sighed. "Look at me. I'm acting like a little schoolgirl because of him. I don't know what to do; I don't know how much longer I can conceal my true feelings for him."

Pushing herself down off of the biobed, Rebecca moved across until she stood infront of Tuula's wheelchair. Hunkering down until they were face to face, the yeoman leaned in and softly stroked the other woman's cheek. "Do what feels right to you but hun...be prepared. Mott isn't the kind of man that will turn around and declare in return that he has feelings for you....I've no doubt that under that thick hide he is capable of loving and...I've no doubt that of the woman who would be capable of releasing that love, that woman is you."

Tuula couldn't help but smile a little at Rebecca's gentle touch. She was right about Mott; he was definitely awkward around romantic situations to say the least, but still, there was something special that Tuula saw in him. "You... really think so?"

With a smile, Rebecca moved her hand so as her thumb could caress Tuula's lower lip. "Sweetheart I know so. You learn a lot about a person in the short time you know them, especially where sex is involved. Mott...everybody is capable of love no matter how they choose to live their life. He will be hard work but if he's who you genuinely want than go for it."

"Then it's settled." Tuula closed her eyes for a moment, fantasizing about Mott and her plans to get his attention. "He will be mine."
