Mission: Episode 07 - Sojourn
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 3, Sickbay
Timeline: MD -20, 0945 Hours

Now that they were on there way back to Starbase 84 things had calmed down considerably. However Dea had an appointment with medical. She was worried about what they were going to say. Hopefully she really didn't have a reason to be truly concerned.

Entering sickbay Dea looked around, "I'm scheduled to see Dr Warraquim." At times like this it helped that Galileo's medical staff was approachable.

The one staff that was present looked puzzled for a moment and then nodded, "Ah! She is normally gamma shift but she is still in her office, I thought that it seemed kind of a long hand off." He pointed, "Door's open."

"Yeah Dr Warraquim indicated she wanted to see me personally for this one. Thank you." Dea made her way over to the Chief Medical Officer's office.

Allyndra was reviewing Dea's results. It was really a remarkable case with so many neural pathways seemingly crossed. She could make a whole paper just on this case alone and she was already making notes about patient M's medical anomalies.

Dea knocked on the door frame to be polite. Not wanting to startle Allyndra. "Sorry to keep you so late Doctor. I'm here for my appointment."

"No, not at all come on in. Computer please close and lock the door." Allyndra said and waved Dea to the seat. She waited until the door slide closed and their was an audible click. She waited a moment for Dea to get settled and then asked, "So how have you been doing? I suppose I should start with the dream acting out but since I have not heard anything assuming that has settled down. I did review the monitor Mott had you wear and it shows that the area of your brain seems to have settled into normal."

"It seems to be like things are sorting themselves out. Probably slower than I'd like but they appear to be improving. As far as acting out in my sleep I don't recall waking up in any strange places or positions. Though I can say I'm having nightmares."

"Excellent then things seem to be on the mend. How is the touch synesthesia? Has that gone away, it is one of the more interesting but deeper synesthesia types.?" Allyndra consulted her notes, "Number position and colour?"

Dea nodded, "Yes the touch synesthesia has gone away and so has the number position and color from what I can tell. But you are the Doctor here not me." She hope that things were truly on the mend and that with more time things would be back to normal completely at least on a physical level.

"In this case almost as unknown territory. As I said, it is a rare phenomenon but it appears to be clearing and your last short term test seemed to be closer to normal parameters. Tell you what, we will run a full battery after we all have to report back. I suspect everything will be fine. As with anything, however, if things seem not quite right then let me or another doctor know." Allyndra put the file away and made a slight tilt of the head, "No problems with work and as I said symptoms fading I see no reason not to see complete healing."

Carefully listening to the Doctor's report. Breathing a sigh of relief at the news. Dea responded, "That's good to hear. Thank you Doctor. I appreciate you being honest with me."

"I do not think I did anything. Your own body did its own healing, but in the future perhaps you might want to think first before being a volunteer for such an entity or entities communication. Anyway, after shore leave, we will do a complete follow up but I see no reason not to continue to certify you for duty."

"Good news Doctor."As far as Dea was concerned she wouldn't try to be a volunteer so easily in the future. Yet she also knew there had not been much choice in the matter this time as it was.

"Yes indeed, even more so since I hear that there will be a decent shore leave when we arrive. Doctor's orders," Allyndra said with light tone and a smile, "you are to enjoy it throughly."

Dea nodded even though she knew there would be a few duty related items before they were released, "Understood Doctor. I'll do my best there." Either way she looked forward to a break from duty.

"Then off you go," Allyndra waved a hand but the tone and facial look was not serious. "Enjoy but not enough to be a patient again."

Standing Dea smiled pausing briefly as she turned to leave, "Thank you again. Yeah I don't have plans to land myself back here as a patient thats for sure. Enjoy your leave Doctor. See you around as a crewmate."
