Tuula was sprawled out on her bed, still wearing her black bikini from the holodeck. Staring at the underside of Jaana's bunk, she wasn't moving. She blocked out the faint cooing of the minor tribble infestation, and didn't even acknowledge the sound of the door opening.

Jaana tiptoed through the door, trying to be quiet as she knew her sister was already asleep. Well, most sane people were asleep at this time. She attempted to cross the room without walking into something, as she usually did. But how hard she tried she still tripped over something. Must be something of hers, Tuula was tidier then her. She fell on the floor and let out a few curses.

"Tribbles," said Tuula, in a faint voice, the sadness apparent in her tone. She barely moved, not even bothering to sit up to acknowledge her sister's presence. "They're all over the place."

"Oh, you're awake. Computer, lights on." Jaana said as she tried to came up from the floor. She looked around after the lights were on. Her sister was right. There were tribbles all over the floor. "I'm seriously getting annoyed now about those damn things." She looked in her sisters direction. "Why are you still up?"

Tuula slowly sat up. Her hair was a mess, well, more of a mess than usual. instead of being styled or tied back, the mess of black, red and blonde just fell to her shoulders around her. She still hadn't changed out of the black bikini she was swimming in earlier in the evening. "Jaana, why are people so judgemental?" she asked, ignoring her sister's question.

Jaana was removing her shoes while seated on a chair and she stopped untying the laces at her sisters question. "You want to talk philosophy at 3 am in the morning?

"Well, I think this question falls more into the realm of sociology," replied Tuula, a halfhearted attempt at a joke to lighten the mood. "It just sometimes feels like people don't want to accept me because I'm different, and..." She sighed. Being older by seven minutes, she was supposed to be the big sister. And here she was, using Jaana as a shoulder to cry on. "I'm sorry; I just had a bad encounter in the holodeck."

"What happened?" Jaana asked as she climbed on her bunkbed.

"I was swimming in the holodeck. I guess I lost track of time and some woman came in. She was getting upset with me because it was taking me too long to get out of the water. You know, with the lift and all." She had gone swimming with Jaana before; in fact it was Jaana who practically dragged her to a pool after the accident. "And then she loaded this cafe program... It was so tight in there that I had trouble even getting to the door. And then," she sighed, "stairs. Right in front of the entrance. It was just so embarrassing. And on top of it all, she was making sarcastic comments about my tattoos too."

Jaana was listening to her sister while lying on her bed. Trying very hard to stay awake. After she'd finished she hung over the railing to look at her sister. "What are we going to do to get her back? Laughing gas in her quarters? Or balloons? Oh no, I know, get the computer to give her an alarm every 30 minutes."

Tuula chuckled, wiping away the tear that had started to form. "Oh Jaana, you're reminding me of high school back home. Remember that time I almost got expelled for putting a live snake in the Kari Mannerheim's locker because she called you a nerd?"

"Of course I remember." The girl in question had made her life an even bigger hell after that.

"Now, where can we get a live snake on a starship..."
