Mission: Episode 06 - Legend of Souls
Location: USS Galileo: Deck 2 - Corridor
Timeline: MD 07: 0715

ON:

"Stupid, horrible, filthy things!" Gabriel was stood in the middle of the corridor close to the mess, shaking himself like a man possessed, his hand reaching to brush over his shoulder and back, twisting to try and brush all of himself off just in case there might be a tribble still on him after a fleeting touch by one had sent him into a stampy, shivery state of rodent hatred. "Err, err, err! Bloody disinfect myself now..."

As soon as the strange dance had started, it stopped. Gabriel stared at a slim, petite figure walking, making him narrow his eyes and look closer. "Hey...hey! I'd know that iddy-biddy waist and that perfect little backside anywhere! Aria-Allspice-Rice!" he called with surprise.

She grinned with shining eyes, moving to him and fist bumping him. "I'm back to rule and cause trouble," she said before hugging. "Missed you, mentalist. Why you jumping all around like a man possessed?"

"This ship is wriggling!" Gabriel hugged her tight with a laugh, lifting her off the ground to spin her round. "My sexy bitch, how are you!"

Aria laughed, throwing her head back. "Dizzy! But good!" she said and laughed warmly. "And look at you, sexy knickers...I like a man who glows like a fairy during a midsummer fayre!"

"All your fault," Gabriel laughed, shaking his head as he gripped her arms to push her out to arms length so he could look over her. "You look well, sweet cheeks..."

Aria smiled and pushed him. "Well, amazing how good a demotion makes you feel. I am one of you again! High five!" she held up her hand, laughing.

Gabriel laughed at that, knowing Aria well enough to know she meant it. He slapped her hand firmly before wrapping an arm around her shoulders to walk into the mess with her. "Watch out Gally, my partner in crime is back and footloose and fancy free...."

"And loving every second of it. Of course, I think Wyatt needs a lot more convincing. He said I had changed," she rolled her eyes, smiling. "Yes, I have. I've changed back to how I was before I got lumbered with stuff that no one straight from the Academy should deal with."

Gabriel smiled to her as they sat down at a small table, squeezing her knee. "I bet you felt the stress just melt away."

"Like an ice cube in hot chocolate, darling!" she winked as she took his hand, leaning closer. "So what did I miss? I saw Wyatt sitting in my old chair...are we betting on his nervous breakdown yet?"

"I wouldn't touch that chair for all the vodka in Norway...." Gabriel lifted his hands, shaking his head. "The Chief Security Officer's chair is cursed."

"Good," she said and smiled gently. "I mean...err...how terrible..." she giggled, hitting his arm. "I mean, wow. Not like it helped me."

"See, more proof I'm right...curse of the Chief Security chair..." Gabriel arched an eyebrow to her, leaning close. "You were sent away and ended up demoted....Stone, well, we all know what happened there...Parker didn't last more than two minutes....Rhodes got sick, like really rare weird sick...."

"I am not ever touching that bloody cursed thing...ever!" Aria declared, shaking her head firmly. "I'll be turned inside out or whatnot!"

"Probably," Gabriel nodded in agreement. "We haven't had a turned inside out one yet, it's due..."

Aria nodded as she smiled, her eyes gentle as she touched his cheek. "So Gabriel, what's been happening with you?" she asked gently.

"Me?" he shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck with a sigh. "Nothing great. Got hauled up in front of the First Officer for questioning an order. I have to take a couple of days off and write a paper.....and go to the bloody counsellor," he shook his head before smiling. "Amon's still around."

Aria smiled as she touched his face, with warmth. "Oh...oh, so he is still interested?" she asked with warmth. "Keeping a firm hold on him?" Gabriel deserved it. Gabriel deserved the world.

He shrugged with a weak smile, shaking his head. "Well nothing has happened since that night. I told you, I'm always the one night stand," he took a breath, bringing a brighter smile back. "What about you? Any special man...or woman...or undecided?"

"Me? No one special," she said with a small smile, her eyes gentle. "Do I have to talk to Mormont? Because I so totally will!"

"Don't you dare!" Gabriel laughed, shaking his head as he pushed her arm. "Just...he's amazing, you know? But....it was casual. It always is."

Aria sighed and moved to sit on his lap, arching an eyebrow. "Now, Mr Stark...you will make some moves and make sweet man love to that man, or else I will talk to him..." she teased before kissing his cheek.

Gabriel laughed warmly, his eyes shining as he threaded his arms around her waist. "Now why would I even need to do that with a fine specimen like you in my lap," he teased.

Aria smiled as she took his hand, moving it to her arse. "This...does as much for you as if I was a statue. Darling, I am many things...yet to turn a man one way or another!"

Gabriel chuckled softly, tapping his fingertip to her little dimple in her cheek. "But you know, if I were straight, you'd be the one, sweetheart."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Aria said with a smile, her eyes warm as she watched him. She had really missed him. Missed him a lot. "I should get going...got a medical soon. Poked and prodded by...I know...weirdoes."

Gabriel shuddered with a frown, nodding. "Yeah. I've been ordered to go back to having frequent ones after my dressing down. That's cruel and unusual if you ask me. Good luck with that...."

She frowned before touching his cheek. "Hey...you're a good man and sane. So don't let them get you down, Gabriel. Their minds are so small and yours is so free."

He watched her with surprise, searching her eyes with awe at the words. No one had ever said anything like that before. He kissed her cheek with a smile, wrapping his arms comfortably around her narrow waist. "Damn my gay genes, perfect girl...." he laughed warmly.

Aria smiled and touched his jaw, shaking her head at that. "No, Gabriel. You're perfect the way you are now," she winked and pulled back. "See you later, my sexy gay boy!"

"Yes, Sir," Gabriel teased with a grin, slapping her backside lightly as she moved away.
