Mission: Episode 04 - Exodus
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 4, Sickbay
Timeline: MD 06 - 0900 hrs

ON:

Camibree Christoff lay on a biobed slightly propped up, reading from a PADD. The last couple days have seemed like the calm before the storm. She knew the inevitable was coming. She hoped she would be prepared mentally and physically for taking on the Borg again. Or any other Alien life forms that they needed to take on.

The PADD contained all the maintenance logs over the last couple days. What crew that was available had done an excellent job patching things back up. She didn't have authorization to access to the ship's system from here. She hoped to get to a tactical station soon and see just where to ship stood.

Allyndra was making rounds. They had managed to start moving people from the secondary triage to actual sickbay. It was a dent in the mass of injured but a dent none the less. Her staff had performed miracles and she loved them all for it. Everyone had spent more hours than were required and the efforts were showing.

"Good morning," Allyndra had to look quickly at the PADD at the end of the biobed to remember names. "Petty Officer Christoph." The name brought back a memory of a few days ago. "Hope you have not stuck anyone with that knife of yours?"

A slight smirk appeared on the side of Bree's face. She pulled the knife, a Kabar given her by her Chief, and spun it around a couple times, very much in control of it. She flipped it once more and brought it back to next to the thigh on the bed and said, "Not yet, but then I've been practicing while waiting here."

Though the control was good, Allyndra still did not think practicing with it was good even though the Petty Officer was in the one place that in case of a mistake could help. "A little dangerous doing that and the rest of the staff would not approve. I do not either. I do not suppose I could get you to let me put that away for you until released?"

Bree rolled her eyes slightly and replied, "Look Doc, I only did it to show off to you." She looked down at the blade in her hand, then rolled her hand down covering it and looked at Dr. Warrquim and spoke sadly, "I'm not as good as I was before." She looked at up at the doc with raised eyebrows, "I want you to know, I did not practice around anyone. I am security. I train in the safest possible way."

"The safest would be to wait until discharged and a full bill of health and not in a sickbay full of other wounded. However," Allyndra held up one slim fingered hand. "What I am more interested in right now is you say not as good and my question is why?"

Bree looked down and slightly bit her lower lip. She wasn't sure if she should trust the Doc, but shook her head slightly. Of course I can trust her. she thought, I know that Rhodes does. See looked Allyndra directly in the eyes, as she licked her lips slightly, hesitantly. Her throat became instantly dry and she had to swallow to clear it. "I ah . . ." she hesitated again looking to her right and then left in the busy medical bay. "Since my injury to my left side, I have had tremors in my right hand. I thought they would go away after all the treatments."

That got Allyndra's attention. "Let's do a full scan and take a look and see if there is something wrong." She proceeded and talked while she got the scan started. "I want to make sure there is no nerve damage and see if we can pin down the source."

Bree leaned back and tried to relax.

At this point Allyndra could no longer fault the Petty Officer for practicing. It was good physical therapy though different types would be the choice. The scan did not reveal anything physical that she could find.

"Well good news and bad news, which do you want first?"

With a serious face she replied confidently, "The good news, always first."

Allyndra laughed lightly, "I can not see anything organic that would attribute to the tremors. The bad though is I think this is a case of psychosomatic tremor. That is along with your body, your mind has had a shock as well. I think your mind is subconsciously expressing that in tremors to your hand. Do you understand?"

Bree closed her eyes, pinching up her face, hoping it all would go away. There were too many issues to take in at once. She began to breath deeply, to try to relax.

Allyndra watched a little puzzled as to how her patient reacted. A series of counseling and working at the already ongoing physical therapy should solve the problem.

Bree looked up at Allyndra with sad eyes and a sorrowful look on her face, "Yes, I think I do." Fear began to creep in again. She looked down and a tear formed in the corner of her eyes and began to flow down her cheek.

Allyndra was again surprised, but she spied a cloth and then sat on the edge of the bed. "Here, here there is no need for that. You just need to talk to a Counselor and get what trauma is settled." Allyndra tapped the weapon with her other hand. "Continued practice, a sort of physical therapy, which I will say will do you good, will help as well. I suspect that you will have all the control if not more in a short time."

The security officer accepted the tissue and replied softly, "I sure hope so Doc. I really can not do my job if this continues." After a moment she added. "I don't know what else I would do."

"I have every confidence that you will get past this. I am going to recommend some counseling sessions and also to get some physical therapy sessions as well. You promise me that and I can release you from this place."

Bree nodded her head slightly in agreement, "I think we can swing that." The physical therapy she knew would help, but was not as sure about the counseling. Opening up her self to others was not something high on her list of things to do.

"Alright, since there is nothing more that a little more rest will help with, I think we can release you by afternoon." Allyndra put a hand on Bree's shoulder.

"Come see me for anything alright?" Allyndra asked.

Christoph looked down slightly in thought, then looked at the doctor, "Alright . . and thanks doc." followed by a slight smile.

"Good, now rest," Allyndra commanded and started to walk away then turned her head, "Oh, and the rest of the staff might not understand the knife. If they say anything tell them it's on doctor's orders."

With a smile Bree replied, "Alright Doc. You're the best."
