344 words; about a 2 minute read

"Shoot I have never been good at keeping one of these things. A lot of people seem to write diaries or whatever they call them. Me I have always been way to busy just trying to keep me and my sisters feed, off the streets or mostly so, and just gettin' through the business of livin'.

Yeah, here we go, another place and from the read, barren and weird as all hell. Still there is goin' to be a lot of times when everyone is not goin' to be able to be outside or above ground.

That brings a smile to my face. I didn't think I'd be workin' it quite at this point, but since sis and that rat of a husband cheated me out of that sweet deal we had goin', well gotta do what I know best.

Speakin' of which I got a call from her a day back. You could see the bruises on her face. Guess hubby wanted to raid the cash box and not enough there. Took it out on her. Yeah sis, told ya he was trouble, you bein' all so starry eyed at the time. Cash is thin is it? Yeah, how much longer before he pisses the rest away and then the girls ain't gettin' paid or start holdin' back?

Tough business runnin' pussy ain't it I told her. Well, let her figure it out and maybe by then got the foundations for a new place out here.

Long nights, cold winters, makes for a jingle in the pocket it does. Even if this rock don't pay out like I hope, figure sis will be beggin' me to put the pieces back together if she ain't dead from that shit of a husband or in jail from finally not takin' his abuse no more. Either way, a bit more tough time but should be sittin' pretty after a bit.

Alright, guess this log diary or whatever that we have been asked to do is good enough. Be lookin' at the new home tomorrow, can't wait."
