Command Master Chief Quinn's personal log: Supplemental__

I am faced with a true dilemma, one that puts my personal feelings and wants possibly at odds of my professional code of conduct and expectations for my rank and position. I have been told by the chief medical officer and by Tuula, but if something isn't done relatively soon not only could Pola and I lose the child but Pola's is life is quite possibly in danger as well. Naturally we want to do what's best and safest for her and the baby, along with while trying to apply to Federation and Starfleet laws and regulations

I will have to go to Saalm and at least let her know and see if I can reason with her so I don't put her into a position that would jeopardize herself or her career.
However, if we go ahead and do the genetic manipulation and treatment without permission, would just leave the few of us that were involved and would keep Holiday and Lirha safe. I told the doctors that I would leave the ship at warp if that would be the only way that I could get the treatment to save Paula and the baby's life, and I meant it.

Hopefully that will not have to happen as that would surely be the end of my career in Starfleet. I have been in Starfleet for so long and I do not know how to do anything else. I have lived my entire adult life for Starfleet and now I just hope and through all the years dedicated service I have given to Starfleet and then all the different capacities and I have served that when I need Starfleet the most that I I'm not disappointed.
