Admiral's Log, Stardate 67552.9

It has been a long and productive several days since my last entry. Starship repairs seem to be coming along well, albeit slowly. The external damage is not as severe as I initially thought...a few minor outer-hull breaches and microfractures, but nothing that would compromise the structural integrity of the vessel.

The secondary deflector array is a different problem, however. Apparently it suffered some extensive power surges and many electrical components are fused to their housing. The absorption panels have all also been ruined and I fear it will be barely salvageable. A team of our best engineers is currently working on the problem along with Lieutenant Zhao, and I hope they can restore it to basic operational status as soon as possible.

Crew morale remains in flux and there is a strange atmosphere of fatigue and uncertainty aboard the ship. None of us have had any contact with Starfleet or any other vessels for the past few days, and some of the junior crew are on edge. We have all been working extended shifts while we conduct repairs and I fear that the lack of rest is beginning to affect our harmony. But, we have our priorities and we cannot take a day off to relax at this junction.

Another update will come as soon as we have finished our primary repairs and ascertain our status.

Computer, end log.
