Personal Log, Captain Jonathan Holliday reporting.

The Galileo and her crew have certainly earned some shore leave. After the mess on Lyshan I can't think of a single member of my team that aren't looking forward to being away from strange alien life forms. I think even the ship itself is probably glad to be back in friendly territory and as far away from tribbles as possible. My fingers are crossed that we don't suddenly find one more hiding in a nacelle housing or something....

My own plans for shore leave are a little more private than most. I have a collection of classical literature I have wanted to catch up on, and an array of reports that need compiling for Starfleet Command. I understand that Commodore Saalm will be leaving the starbase for several days, and as such it appears that this responsibility will fall firmly at my feet.

I suppose I should be a little more excited about this opportunity - afterall, this will be my first official debriefing since assuming command of the Galileo - if nothing this time writing reports will be well spent as a learning exercise.

Now where did I leave that PADD......
