Dear Sister

Staring at the screen, Tyrion sat with his head in his hands, elbows resting on the desk. Piet wasn't home yet so he had some time to compose this letter. All recent events, had made him think hard on some of the aspects of his life so far.

"Computer, start composition." Over the next few hours, he composed a letter to his sister:

To: Danyelle Faye, Dekoa, Betazed
From: Tyrion Faye, USS Gemini

Dear Danyelle,

I'm so sorry that I haven't contacted you in the last seventeen years. I know you were still barely in your teens when I left, and you might not even remember me, or want to remember me. But you were the one I was always closest to, so I turn to you, to ask forgiveness first.

A lot has happened to me recently, and it made me revise some of the things I've done in my life. I never should've just left home like that, leaving you and Rickya and Analynn and of course mom and dad. but I just couldn't stay, and I'm not sure I'm ready to return yet. But I do want to meet with you sometime again, if you're willing.

Recently, and here I'm talking a few months ago, I lost someone I loved very much. And recently, I discovered that I killed him. I don't know why, but I did pay for it dearly. I'm shamed forever, and the thing I want most is probably to die, or crawl under a rock and never surface again. But I can't, so I turn once again to you. I've lost everything I cared for Dany. My commission, and I lost the respect of my department head, though I never really had that to begin with.

I only have one friend, my roommate and I would be lost if not for his friendship. I'm very lonely my dear sister, and I want to make amends. Please don't discard this letter, show it to the others too if you want. Please, meet with me sometime soon. I don't know if I'll ever get another chance, so I'm taking a leap of faith here. I can't come home yet, but I want to make this first step to making amends.
