Captain's Log 007

[ON]

This may be my last log entry as Captain of the Galileo. The almost exponential spead of tribbles throughout this vessel have now compromised the majority of our systems.

My attempts to eliminate the threat with deadly force given the grace circumstances have been overruled by Commodore Saalm - let the record show that in my opinion, her decision to countermand my order has in part led to the downfall of this vessel in the event the ship becomes uninhabitable.

Whilst we have limited power reserves available, in the worst instance I will order the transfer of this crew to the mining facilities on the planet below, and remove the Galileo from orbit, at such time I shall engage the ship's self destruct system.

We have several plans remaining, however their chance of success are each extremely limited. Should we succeed, I will file a full report with Starfleet, should we not, then I have been proud to serve with these officers and crew.

Computer, end log.
