Chief Engineer's Log:

We are about to embark for the Starbase to gather the device known as Project: Sierra. I have done extensive research in this technology since first hearing of it. I even pulled some old information I could gain access from XRD. This new technology, if it will actually work, could save us months, even years in traversing the quadrant. It would finally allow us to explore new galaxies. The opportunities are endless.

Endless, I said. Endless ways for us to expand our knowledge, and gather new scientific information, discover new life forms and new Laws of Science. So much good could come from mastering the device, and using it to manipulate the very fabric of the time-space continuum. The federation could send help to any ally in minutes, maybe even seconds. We could find endless uses for it during times of possible mass casualties to an entire planet, or even system. Instead of arriving too late to help. we could already been and gone before a problem even occurs.

Of course, that's hoping some other power in the galaxy manages to either replicate it, or even worse, take this one and get it to work properly. Then peace would not be in their nearsightedness, It would be about domination, expanding grip and control across all known, and unknown space. I think I'd rather die than see this technology get into the hands of someone greedy, power hungry, or ignorant.

I wonder if that thing could be made compatible to work on these engines?

End Log.
