Log Entry: M'Ressa - Earth - 1

Personal Log: M'Ressa

M'Ressa ran her paw through her hair before she began her log entry. Grooming was normal for the Caitian's and she preferred to look her best for posterity.

"Personal Log. Stardate something. This will be my first log as a member of the Galileo crew. We begin boarding in a week or two and so far, I've got quarters to myself. Can't complain as it keeps a roommate from blabing about my personal habits. Same time though, does invite speculation about what I do in there.

Highlight of the past few months has to be this cute Caitian by the name of Teth. Ran into him by accident at Starfleet in San Francisco. Wasn't quite sure what to make of him but gave him the benefit of the doubt and grabbed lunch with him. I'm not fond of random meetings with people I don't know, Caitian or not, but this time? No idea.

Turns out he's the son of Ashar M'thii, the Caitian scientist who's work I based my graduate thesis on. That was a major icebreaker for me. Put a couple comments together and figured out this was Teth sitting in front of me.

Lunch went okay, tho I think the idea of eating meat and hunting wild game he finds a bit repulsive. By today's standards it probably is, but it's traditions I grew up with. I rarely ever hunt anymore, tho my comment over lunch probably sounded like I'm some sort of serial killer of cute little animals.

Apparently it didn't repulse him too much as we ended up going to London later to see the theater performance of CATS!. This is where things take an interesting twist. Afterwards we popped down to a small tavern by the river front that I've frequented before. Ended up drinking a bit too much full fat milk, kinda acts like alcohol in my system, then suggested he come to my place.

There things progressed very rapidly and next thing I know, Teth is in my bed taking my virginity, or at least the Caitian equivalent of it. Had to be one of the more pleasurable experiences I've been through, despite some pain at first, normal I'm told for a virgin with her first partner. I think I understand now why humanoid species are so fixated on the whole experience. Sure it's part of procreation but there's more then that, it's fun in a way no other activity is.

Why Teth?

Good question. I can't say it was the Caitian bonding, I don't think that happened, but Teth was different from other guys I've dated. I've made a personal decision that I wouldn't sleep with any guy I wasn't willing to bear the offspring of. I've been on a few dates, never really got anywhere with them, but Teth was different.

Hard to explain why but it just felt right with him you know? He struck me as the kind of guy who'd be fun to spend my life with, who'd stick around for any offspring we produced. I suppose I felt comfortable getting that close and taking that risk with him.

Now do not get me wrong, our encounters do not make a life commitment on either of our parts. We're going to be on the same vessel, more on that in a minute, so we will at least have the chance to figure out what our relationship holds. I suppose my dream for us is to eventually raise a family together but I don't want to push Teth down that road if he's not ready.

So how the Galileo? Well. After our first intimate time together, Teth took off on some sort of journey of discovery or some such. Whatever it was it involved visiting Vulcan and going alone. What exactly happened I don't know, nor do I care to at this point. Teth is back, a bit worse for wear, but sounding a lot calmer and more balanced.

So with him gone for a week I had a chance to think over our encounter and how I felt. Brood might be a better word but I ended up calling in some favors, twisting some arms, and outright begging a few people to get me onto the Galileo. Bit out of character for me to be that dead set on something I'm not really sure of.

So anyway Teth get's back a mess. I drag him back to my place and clean him up by tossing him in the shower, then diving in myself after him. After that, well ... I'm not saying.

Anyways, I'm meeting Teth in a hour or so to visit his family in Germany. Not sure how things will go as we're playing this like a visit by a co-worker, which I suppose technically we are, and not as lovers. I suppose that begs the question, at what point do we go from a couple of intimate encounters to a real relationship? I'm sure that Teth's family will smell him on me, a sure sign we've been intimate, and if they bring it up. Then what?
