"Chief Operation Officer's log, stardate 67419.6

"Aside from getting used to making log entries by telling the computer what I want to say, my duties as operations officer have been relatively uneventful. A new operations officer arrived, however. It seems I am to have an assistant. She seems competent.

"The captain has asked me to oversee a refit to the Galileo's shuttlebays to accommodate a new shuttle complement which will be arriving in a few days. We will be removing one type-9 shuttle and the Hunley shuttle. We will acquire a runabout, a workpod, and a transport to replace the two shuttles. This change will require a greater storage volume for the shuttles, so we need to build an auxiliary shuttlebay.

"We will spend day one clearing the cargo bay and making the necessary preparations. Day two will be spend installing all internal equipment, tractor systems, and power access. Installing the shuttlebay doors and forcefield should take all of day three. Day four will be used to install the shuttlebay deck plating and test all systems.

"I expect everything will go smoothly. End log."
