Dad taught me to code last week, more specifically, he taught me how to create a holodeck program. At least the basics. It was an interesting experience and a good bonding moment.
I'm not saying that I've found my chosen career path, or even that I'm going to pursue a career with Starfleet. I turn sixteen next week, so it's way too early to be thinking about something like that.
The nice thing, at least so far, is that Serran isn't pushing me to do so. Or pushing me in any direction at all. He is going to let me make up my own mind.
What I am saying is that spending time with him doing something he enjoys and is clearly good at is what made it nice.
I have been dealing with an issue for a while now. A rather personal issue that I'm not going to detail here. Dr. Carlisle has been helping me with it. But, I've decided to "self-medicate" or maybe more accurately treat myself.
I'm using what dad taught me to do that. I'm creating a friend. Someone who will see me for who I am and not judge. I'm still working on the design in my head, who he is going to be. All I know now is that he is going to be a guy and around my age.
After we talk, I'll make another log.
