"I was made Mother Named of my Guild House and then became Mother of that House back on my home world. The Council allowed me to continue serving in the Federation as they decided that it was a more important duty. Thus, I never have had to run the House or fully serve on the Council. Now I find myself one step away from having to command this ship and one of the duties now is handle personnel and make command decisions.

When I was second officer that didn't come to the fore very often. I still mostly was a medical officer rather than command. The only time that that became more important was well back in time now when we lost the first ship and at the time I thought I was the senior most surviving officer. Somehow Admiral Lirha had survived but it hadn't been known at the time.

There was a time even before that when I had to run a small ship, but again it was for a short time and there was always in the back of my mind that it was temporary.

I didn't come to this position the traditional way for StarFleet. However, here I am. I will pray to the Twins to guide me to do well in this new duty.
