One time a very wise Mother asked a group of students to write down what they considered the greatest wonders of the world. The students all got busy and one by one they finished their task.

The Mother asked each to read their list of wonders and there were many that listed the seasons, the Great Houses and on and on.

One student raised her hand and asked the Mother, "Mother, what do you consider the great wonders of the world."

The Mother smiled and then said: "To see, to hear, to touch, to taste, to feel, to laugh and to love."

The room was so quiet and then one by one the students all stood and bowed or curtsyed to the Mother. The student that had asked the question said, "Mother, thank you for reminding us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous."
