"The briefing of what has happened to the Federation and the idea to change things is something that I am not yet sure about.

While my home world has resolved in the past to be observers and follow a lower-tech way of life in order to keep balance in the world, there was a time when that was not so true.

We have a phrase that goes: "We put away the past in order to preserve the future." The actual phrase I found in my research was, "We hide away the past in order to preserve the future." The ancient ones didn't get rid of everything but hide it away as I think in order to that, it could be revived if and when needed.

One of the marvels that Ensign Mimi and a couple of others have learned about is what we call Fold Ships. If you drew a line from point A to point B, you travel the distance between. Wrinkle the sheet, and you have warped the distance such that it appears less. Now imagine if you temporarily made it such that point A and point B touched. The distance would be like a single step, almost like the old Iconian gates but with something that was mobile.

Mimi and I took a trip, and the distance from the alpha to the gamma quadrant took as much time as the blinking of an eye.
I am resolved to reveal to Admiral Saalm and give her a letter of introduction to give to whoever is Head of my Guild House.

The Federation has many problems but from my observation, it has less than the other powers. I believe it should be preserved.
