I think Captain Saalm was a little surprised I did not want to leave the ship for shore leave. In a way, I was as well, but again there are personal reasons that figured into it. This station is far away from most major routes, and while in more traveled space I would have reservations, here it brings just how much I feel different.

I never have been one for gambling, so those pleasures are out. I cannot afford and incident with someone not understanding my favourite drink being something with some blood in it, though Klingon stuff comes close enough.

No I have another task to do while I am away from prying eyes. It is not a big secret but I do need to contact Akkadia and see how things fare there. An absent Mother is not really a Mother at all.

It is also time to talk to the Council as well. I think it is time that Akkadia make a more formal declaration as well if we are to join or not. Of course, joining would mean that we reveal fully how we went elsewhere. The powers that be accept that it was a sort of warp technology, but it was not. It was something else. Something much more akin the more I study it to possibly what the Iconians used for their gate networks.

Are the rest ready to learn that and how will things go? A few friends know and have experienced the Fold Ships. They have as well agreed that such technology would definitely throw what some engineers call a monkey wrench in the balance of things. Well perhaps every now and then things need to get shaken up. One does not learn to fly without sometimes learning to fall down as well.

Is the galaxy ready to fall down so that they can fly? I wonder....
