Technically following orders...

"Computer, begin log."

As she sat in one of the biobeds in sickbay, Tuula decided to work on her log while the other woman got her equipment ready. "Well, it has been an exciting few days. I didn't expect Lirha to be my new CO again. Last I heard, she was in a penal colony in Australia."

She glanced around sickbay at her decorations. She had, of course, added a bit of a personal touch to the sterile medical environment. "Better yet, Allyndra is my chief again. I was worried that I might get someone who wasn't as understanding of my differences, but having Allyndra again is great. She's a wonderful colleague and a great boss."

Tuula took a deep breath once more before changing the subject. "Raven is currently being installed on board; I had her activated a couple days ago, but the engineers are busy hard-wiring her program into the ship's computer and preparing backups and diagnostics. Of course, the program is unique enough that it's not just plug and play."

Sighing longingly, Tuula looked over at her bone saw. "It's going to be a long three years. I'm going to miss Jaana, and dad, and even mom. But this is going to be such an exciting assignment... and Jaana now has her dream job at Starfleet Academy..."

"You ready?" asked the other woman as she pulled herself closer to Tuula on her wheeled office chair.

"The captain ordered me not to go out and get another tattoo, as that would be a waste of shipyard resources." She smirked at the heavily-modified woman beside the biobed, a guest she had invited on board. "Fortunately, she didn't say anything about bringing a tattoo artist here, and a sickbay is the most hygenic place to get some new ink."

With that, Tuula extended her hand towards the artist, ready for her to apply the pre-arranged design, a leviathan cross on the knuckle of her middle finger.

"Computer, end log."
