What Is Going On?

Amaranai woke up the morning after talking with Miraj. She was sad because Lirha wasn't in bed with her, but she was comforted by the fact that she could see Charlotte in the bed across the room from her. There were so many things running through her mind. Amaranai got out of bed and went into the main room.

"Computer, begin recording personal log," she started.

"Lirha wants to meet Charlotte and even thought about bringing her own younger sister, Nesh, to the meeting, to let them meet each other. I think it would be a good idea, but I'm a little afraid that Charlotte will see that Nesh isn't in Starfleet and decide that Starfleet isn't the only thing in the universe."

She paused.

"That's fine, but I really want to get to know my sister again, and having her with me on a starship seems the easiest way."

Another pause.

"As if that's not weighing down on me, I'm worried about what Miraj said last night. About Lirha."

Amaranai recalled what Miraj had said about Lirha and relationships.

"Am I going to be just another notch in her belt? I know she says she loves me, but is it true? I don't know but I do know that I love her also. Should I ask her about what Miraj said? I don't know."

Amaranai looked at the chrono. It was early.

"I used to have so much confidence in my life. And purpose. And drive. The past few months seem to have taken that from me." She took a deep breath. "Computer, end log."
