Summary

Also known as stellar cartography, and though similar to the other scientific laboratories aboard the ship, the astrometrics lab has greater command and control capability. From here, crew are able to integrate long-range sensors and communications in addition to performing standard research and observation.

Description		Astrometrics is a specialized laboratory used aboard Nova II-class starships for stellar cartography purposes. For convenience or advanced analysis, astrometrics can also be used for communications purposes or even as a workplace for easy access to sensor information. The astrometrics lab serves as the primary duty station for stellar cartographers, astrometrics officers, and cosmologists.
