Personal History		Growing up aboard starships, Leander was often accused of being too introverted. He had few problems with socialising, but his teachers at the Starfleet schools often worried that he lacked awareness of his surroundings. This afforded him a heightened awareness of his own self. It was with this awareness of his temperament and his abilities that he chose the path of his career. Leander was the first Fionn in five generations who did not graduate Starfleet Academy as an Officer. Being a Starfleet Engineer seemed like the only "real" job to Leander. Everything else seemed like hobbies. While Fionns can be found across every department in Starfleet, most of Leander's aunts and uncles served as Engineering officers. It was viewed as a great rebellion for Leander to enlist as a noncom, and he often wished that he had the spine for such an intentional rebellion. Rather, he enlisted because he believed his interests would be best suited as a crewman. He chose to be a damn good Scientist's Mate, rather than a mediocre Officer.
